Most polished big quest/expansion mods?

Well... RBP can nearly be gutted completely. Only thing really used are the new resources (races, hairs, eyes, and a couple of scripts). Nothing changing existing races, birthsigns or the magicka system needs to stay. If someone would go ahead and make a substitute to make Integration playable, probably only the new races at the starting screen need to stay (toggling them unplayable would mess their voices up).
LAME is another task. Its secret merchants are used in quests, and more importantly many of its "new" spell effects and several scripts are also used. What it does to the Vanilla magic can be undone easily. What it adds though would mostly need to stay.

Well, I would have liked to play 'Stranded', but unfortunately it nerfed my favorite go-to custom spell. It's a stacking spell which relies on Telekinesis to return expended Magica. I thought it was LAME that was responsible; but after spending an afternoon removing everything a bit at a time and retesting it appears to have been RBP.

If there was a way to strip out the magic meddling from RBP, I might have another go at Stranded.

Most of my favorites have been mentioned already.
In no particular order:

With a caveat: Like many partners in real life, this mod is high maintenance. It's never really over and done.

snip

Can't do anything about the lore, but you can just delete the offending voices from the voice folder to get rid of the acting.

Yup, that's what I did. But thought I would point out some of the perceived cons of B&M. I am sure I am not the only one though who's felt this way, recalling the B&M threads a few years ago.

Last I read Adash city of magic still had some parts not translated, any updates been released to fix this? I'm interested in the mod but not understanding some parts of the story or potential text translation conflicts with other mods have kept me on the fence.

All with a pinch of salt, but I do have some issues with both Lost Spires and Blood and Mud.

The Lost Spires loot is a little over the top, and the quests are all much the same: dungeon crawls. It's fun, yes, but if you're looking for more than an extended dungeon crawl it's not going to interest you and if you're looking for something with balanced rewards, it's going to annoy you.

Blood and Mud, I've never even started any of the quests; I just use it to add more colour (well, brown's a colour, right?) to Bravil. Still, doing some exploration of Bravil with this installed revealed access to high-level alchemy equipment and enough nirnroots to finish the Seeking your Roots quest, which kinda spoils that quest and removes the fun of searching for my own equipment. Those kinds of additions just shouldn't be there; they spoil other aspects of the game. I also found a couple of quest locations by accident and triggered "quest updates" for quests I'd never started; which was confusing/annoying as I've never started *any* of the B&M quests and the journal entries made absolutely no sense as a result.

Taking all the above into account, I can say that I'd recommend Integration: The Stranded Light wholeheartedly. The RBP requirement put me off for a long while, but eventually I realised that RBP was worth installing even for a player that cares nothing for "race mods" or "beauty mods".
