Most powerful person in tamirel?

Gaenor! No one can(barely) touch him! And anyone who touches him dies(pretty much)!

I'd like to see Gaenor try and reflect a shehai...

Hmm. Indeed. So would I.

Plus, Gaenor was a sack of crap. It was all mainly the Amulet; don't come at me with that "skill" crap either. He needed the Amulet for all that.

I'd say Jiub is the strongest before that n'wah.

Well, he did have 'Fortify Luck 500' 'Resist Magic 80-100' 'Reflect 50-100' and 'Restore Health 1' apart from the amulet...

I was speaking more from a Lore aspect; without that initial luck, he would have svcked (excuse the rhyme). He wouldn't have gotten crap without it.

I'd say Tarhiel, who had the knowledge to make a scroll that fortified a skill to ridiculous proportions, over Gaenor. And that's just magickal knowledge rather than power.

Honestly who makes a scroll that sends you into the air for about 15 seconds, and gives it a 7 second duration? xD

Actually, if it came to a match between the Nerevine and The COC, I think It'll be closer then people think.

COC's deeds:
Gained the artifacts of all 16 Daedra (Don't forget Mehrune's Razor) and 15 of the Princes favor. (Actually, he would have 18 if you count Jyggalag's Sword (which i'm not sure wether should be counted as his artifact), and Nocturnal's cowl)
Gained the status of Madgod, and thus has a loyal army of Daedra
Became the Master Guildmaster of All the guilds in Cyrodil
Slew Mannimarco's mortal form
Became Lord of Battlehorn Castle, and will have a loyal band of Men-at-arms
Defeated the Grand Champion of the Arena
Infiltrated the Sancre Tor and got out alive
Became The Champion of the Divines and defeated an Ayleids/Daedric King and has even more men
Defeated the Uderfrykte's Mom
Closed more Oblivion Gates then I can count
BECAME the Champion of Cyrodil in the first place
Trained under many (If not all) Masters of skills
Stopped the Adoring Fan, The enemy of all Nirn, multiple times from driving people insane

And maybe his greatest deed that will soon arrive...

Drive the mudcrabs of Cyrodil and beyond

Urgh. Those do not have to be accomplished the same person, there wasn't one champion of Cyrodiil afterall, just as there wasn't one Nerevarine and just as the Totem of Tiber Septim ended up in seven places.

Summarizing it like the primera guides list of possible achievements, that's just completionist [censored] for people who get a feeling of satisfaction from checking off a box on their "must see" list. It ignores the actual persons that are the hero.

Though more important then the silliness of comparing undefined characters, is the lack of a proper measure to relate anybody on a level of power. So stop doing it! This crap has gotten old ever since super-hero comics came out.

Hmm. You'd think the fact that a dev stated that Talos was (or is very likely) indeed the strongest being in Tamriel would quell this debate.

Apparently not.

Didnt almalexia defeat mehrunes dagon?

Not really. It took both Almalexia AND Sotha Sil at the Zenith of their power just to defeat Merhunes Dagon-and they only just managed to shoo him away from Old Mournhold.

Yet in all of her vain glory, a statue of her banishing Dagon is built for all the world to see. Sad thing is, she was stabbing him with Hopesfire. No wonder Old Mournhold was destroyed.

No, they banished Dagon for quite a while. Seeing that the Aedra Aka actually needed an anchor to do anything against Dagon, the Tribunal's immediate power was quite impressive in this instance.

Huh, vain? So, statues are vain now?

When it depicts her banishing Dagon in what appears to be single combat, pretty much. Although it should be mentioned that she is probably the most vain of the Tribunal. Nonetheless, she did mention Sotha Sil's help in the battle with Dagon.

Sure, the Dragon statue doesn't have the CoC on it, but it's not a statue of Akatosh actually doing anything.

Vivec describes Sotha Sil as being Iconoclastic. I don't think Sotha Sil would have allowed a statue of himself to be built. Other than the simple engravings on shrines and flags, there are no images of him. The other two revel in depiction.

Yes, I agree that Almalexia is vain. Yet the statue at the Brindisi Dorom is not vain as to deprive the senses of the people, but a celebration of spiritual and temporal power over their enemies that she shares with the people of Mournhold, I'd say.

Fair enough. It would probably be hard to make a statue of a floating guy without legs anyway. Not impossible, but hard.

Here:

Talos.

The HoonDing.

Trinimac.

Vivec.

Leki.

Reman.

Auri-El.

Wulfharth.

Morihaus.

Pelinal.

That's my list, and pretty much in that order. Though Vivec did kill Tiber Septim once...but I mentioned Talos, not the Emperor.

Now let there be an end to all things.

...at least this discussion, anyway.
