Most Powerful TES Protagonist

Yeah I know who Tharn was, that doesn't mean anything if he wasn't fighting the Legions singlehandedly. So while Tharn's political power kept him out of direct confrotation for a while, he was in the end only a mortal mage when confrontation did come.

The EC also had to fight in the most dangerous of dungeons in Tamriel.

Wasn't he under White Gold tower? The Imperial Palace? What made it the most dangerous dungeon?

Dungeons. Plus, Jagar did fill the place up with really nasty liches (who were very tough back in the day).

my vote will have to be for either the Eternal Champion or the Nerevarine.

I never played arena but considering how much effort and time the guy would have to put in to scour the world searching for the artifacts against impossible odds just to stop the battlemage.... I respect him as a warrior.

Nerevarine... sure I have a Morrowind bias but considering he kills two gods possibly three if you kill Vivec (technically he only banished Hircine but its close to killing). Plus I like to think canonically for me hes a Khajiit :).

How many times must people say it? They weren't gods, they were extremely powerful mortals, not nearly the same thing.

I'd say the COC wins in every aspect, intelligence, emotional stability, everything. You just cant beat a Daedric Prince.

The recruit did beat a prince 1v1. Plus, the CoC didn't really have much of a brain. Tell him to jump off a cliff and label it a quest, and he'll do it. All the CoC did was follow whatever someone told him.

Well I'm going to have to go with CoC. He may have been a errand boy but he pretty much did all the work while Martin sat there and read books. I mean he single-handedly ran into a plane that which prolly closely related to our modern day Hell without a second thought. He managed to kill many many daedra and not to mention he closed a Great Gate! And since we are talking about all his accomplishments then....

Lets see, defeated Mannimarco, took down a bunch of mercs high on Hist, became the Grey Fox (he has the power to confuse guards by simply taking off a mask!), became the Listener of the DB, killed Umrail TWICE I might add, killed Jyggalag and became a Daedric Prince crazy or not. ALL SINGLE HANDEDLY!

Now I haven't gotten too far in MW but from what I've herd and put together that Neverarine had Divine Intervention help while killing weaked and or aspects of Gods.

Besides CoC had to hang out with the Adoring Fan that has to count for something? :toughninja:

I've always fancied that the Nerevarine got sick of Morrowind, told everyone that s/he was going to Akavir, and instead changed his/her identity, went to Cyrodiil, and wound up becoming the CoC (and possibly Sheogorath). So, while not necessarily canon, my head makes the Nerevarine and the CoC out to be the same person.

OK, I vote CoC
I mean, The "Nerevarine" was hand picked by the gods to do his tasks, and was the reincarnation of an already powerful warrior.

And he used artifacts to defeat Dagoth Ur and the Blight, and I dont believe that anyone by natural means ever beat the Almalexia god and her hands.
I mean really, its not possible unless you have a godly amount of potions, or are using the levitate spell
In pure battle, no potions or spells other than restoration and destruction, the Nerevarine would get his ass kicked. I mean, straight up ass kicking. Like, new Karate Kid Movie ass kicking.

And The guy who beat Dagoth Ur once again used artifacts, which by no self stature did he defeat MD. So he isnt even being considered
The CoC was just a guy in prison that the emporer dreamed about
and by chance or pure skills, he took down over 11 oblivion gates, a great Oblivion Gate, killed one who was given immortality by a Daedra Lord, Permanently I might add.
He became the holy crusader of the Gods, defeated 2 very mighty, very powerful necromancers. He took down an entire company of crazed fighters. Lets see what more... Took an ELDER SCROLL RIGHT UNDER THE NOSE OF MANY IMPERIAL GUARDS. Beat a curse made by a daedra lord himself, gained favor of every daedra lord. Umbra was unable to defeat him even with her magic sword of soul stealing.
And this was just a guy in prison, unaccompanied by artifacts or favor of the gods. He earned his way, he didnt get lucky and get picked.
So there, I've said it.

You're making too much sense. Supplanting Jyggalag to become the Prince of Madness would be like Jagar Tharn supplanting Dagon, or the wannabe Amalexia actually becoming a true god and supplanting Azura. Or Vivec becoming the genuine anticipation of Mephala and not just a Dunmer wannabe.

The CoC is overwhelmingly the most blessed, empowered protagonist at the end, if anything they should add the Eternal Champion to his many honorifics Hero of Kvatch, Divine Crusader, Champion of Cyrodil, Lord of the Never-there and now Eternal Champion given his new cosmic station.

The CoC defeated Jyggalag in war. Either he/she's a great military genius, or he's powerful enough to defeat Jyggalag with brute force and therefore overshadows all other heroes in an overall power count(may only be physical strength, but enough of it makes comparing the CoC to any other hero ridiculous). Also, despite being insane, he/she must be mentally and emotionally stable. Try to mentally or emotionally break down a Daedric prince, especially the one who defeated Jyggalag(in both war and one on one combat), who I believe is, arguably, more powerful than even Dagon and perhaps the most intelligent of the Daedric princes, other than the person who defeated him. Dagon probably feared him. As for people who followed everything others told him/her, let's see if these sound familiar:

The emperor has been imprisoned and only you can save him. Go give up 10 years of your life(a little slow, isn't it?) saving him from the big bad Imperial battlemage. Ohhh, scary. Mankar Camoran could have mopped the floor with Tharn.

I only just met you, but will you go to a foreign land do some large favors for me(either Uriel's a desparate moron, Septim's Agent is an overly-obediant pawn, or both)?

They have taken you from the Imperial City, to the east, to Morrowind. Fear not, for I am watchful. Go take orders directly for no apparent reason and help me get what I want as the spoiled brat I am.

I figure that's a personal decision. How and why are questions that require more creativity than just "I'm in a prison for some reason, and now I'm gonna do stuff." Nerevarine or not, I like all of my characters to have a fleshed out background.

The recruit also fought off an entire military campaign, a military campaign that defeated a dragon and ALL Battlemages, save for the recruit, his companion, and this really old wizard.

Also, despite being insane, he/she must be mentally and emotionally stable. Try to mentally or emotionally break down a Daedric prince, especially the one who defeated Jyggalag
Being insane means you are not mentally stable! Logic fallacy there, batman. And emotional stability also tends to hit the fan when someone isn't mentally stable also.

(in both war and one on one combat), who I believe is, arguably, more powerful than even Dagon and perhaps the most intelligent of the Daedric princes, other than the person who defeated him. Dagon probably feared him.
Conjecture, without much evidence other than people feared him. You see, he was feared, because he could predict what the other princes would do to the T, not because he could blast someone to ash or crystal or what have you. Dagon, he's an extremely ancient being, who leaped through multiple kalpas before becoming Destruction. As a being whose sphere is purely about destroying things, and even he took over some other daedric princes' lands during the invasion. Plus, if the Tribunal had not been immortal, Alamenxia and Sotha Sil, during the prime of their power, would have been killed.

10 years of being all around Tamriel to the most dangerous of dungeons in all of Tamriel. Here's the thing, Tamriel is really huge. What we were given in OB and MW was extremely condensed, but time wasn't as condensed as the world. In Daggerfall, going from one little kingdom to another took at least a week. This I find to be the most accurate account of time in all games. Now, if we apply that to the EC, while being hunted down by Tharn and most likely a fugitive, it is easy to see why it took 10 years.

I only just met you, but will you go to a foreign land do some large favors for me(either Uriel's a desparate moron, Septim's Agent is an overly-obediant pawn, or both)?
It's implied that Septim's Agen didn't "just meet." Plus, if you want to do this, then we'll say the same thing about the Nerevarine and Champion of Cyrodiil, who the emperor either never met or literally JUST met. And don't you dare pull out that prophesy stuff, or else I'd smack you around with that for Septim's Agent also.

They have taken you from the Imperial City, to the east, to Morrowind. Fear not, for I am watchful. Go take orders directly for no apparent reason and help me get what I want as the spoiled brat I am.

Without the nevarine, the blight would of spread even beyond Morrowind and for all we know all of tamriel would be blighted.

I have to say the Neverine is the most powerful. He slays gods and single handedly averts the apocolypse!

Martin stopped an apocalypse too, with the help of the CoC. And there's the recruit from MD launching an apocalyptic invasion when the emperor was locked away.

I'm up for coc he battled daedric princes, fought loads of lunatics on hist(Maybe thats why he is retarded he might have trusted the blackwood company but was too stuborn to join that or maybe the guards dropped him on his head when they throw him into prision)killed the last ayleid(umaril)who also had a second life but in fairness umaril's first life was weak, fought a vampire orc, beat manimarco and managed to handle the annoying fan.And he was emotinonly strong unlike most people say because he killed his friends for luicene.

heres the rankings for all the heros according to me: coc=battlespire recruit>eternal champion>septims agent=nevarine. And everyone wonders what happened to the Eternal champion well interestingly septims agent is the same guy and because of that bethesda wanted to allow you to carry your character over from arena to daggerfall but for some reason(I forget why)they didn't.

Well, you are one of the few who gave more reasons than being powerful. Emotionally though, I find more like...mercury? Basically, he's the perfect infiltrator, as he can pretty much change his emotional state on the blink of an eye. However, I find his mental health to be lacking. Then again, as I explained earlier, he was always Sheogorath, so mental health is something from the get go is going to be very poor.
