High Elves I guess. They have a caste system to oppress their own race, and they generally don't even allow the other races to visit their islands.

My vote goes to the Dunmer. If your race isn't Dunmer in TES III : Morrowind, you'll find that they don't really approve of you, calling you "outlander" and demanding what you want. Its also evidenced they don't really like the Legion calling the shots in Vvarndfell. They are also one of the most hostile provinces in Tamirel. In Cyrodiil, the only racist Imperial I can think of is that one Countess that hates the beast races.

i don't they truly like anyone period. maybe after you save them from the blight, kill a couple o' gods and do about 150 quests then maybe they will consider refraining from calling you an "N'wah"

I think it's probably a close tie between Imperials, Altmer and Dunmer.

Yeah, my vote goes to Dunmer. The altmer are a close seconds, ut ehy're not very opressive. Slavery is common in Morrowind.

Imperials are by far one of the least oppressive races. Sure, they took over all of Tamriel, but it became a better place because of it, and were not forcing people into slavery or something.

Currently, going to have to say the altmer, even when it was before the Red Year.

As opposed to outright wars, splintering factions, invasion from a clearly oppressive force, centuries of bloodshed, and so on? Even the khajiit that wander the wastes found it was better with imperial rule.

What about crushing cultural traditions, enforcing thier ways, invading everywhere possible, building huge settlements on sacred places, enforcing other to go by thier rule.

As I said, it's debatable. They do good, depending on your view point.

Outlander isn't a neutral designation, the way "Mexican" or "Canadian" is. It means you don't belong here, you don't fit in, and even though you saved our land from blight and desolation, you never will. It's at best icily polite and at worst as contemptuous as "N'wah".

Still, you're right, Altmer get the superiority complex prize.

Thinking about that for a minute and it seems that giving their opinionated culture the middle finger saved it. Dunmer seem to have a drama queen thing going on.

Well, I would say its between the Mer.

Altmer use goblins as servants, though we don't know if this is forced servitude. They also look down on just about every other race.

Dunmer in Morrowind are generally xenophobes, but the Dunmer outside of their home province are a bit nicer. Also, they are incredibly racist towards the beast folk.

Bosmer are really not that racist, but they do take advantage of the Imga. (The Imga seem more racist than the Bosmer, when you think about it.)

In Morrowind Dark Elves had a traditional name of Dunmer.

I think alot of people will vote morrowind simply because there has been a game there and you can experience what they are truely like.

We havent been to Summerset isles yet, and considering its the Altmer are known throughout tamriel as uppeity and exclusive, not the dunmer, my vote goes for them.

Altmer are definitely the most racist; even in Oblivion where racial and political tensions are non-existent, Altmer look down on you.

And, depending on your view of Goblins, may or may not be oppressive. I always thought that Goblins were just a society that hasn't been given a chance to develop: I.E. the Orcs up until Morrowind.

Ah, good point about the racial and political disputes in Oblivion being none at all. When I stepped off the boat in Morrowind, it was the only game where I was truly pissed off at the NPC's, most of all the native Dunmers. In Morrowind, I was most comfortable at Imperial charter towns and forts and Balmora (House Hlauu's tolerance of outlanders). While its nice to see the Imperials in OB to be portrayed as nice and friendly, they're too friendly. I think I would have been more immersed into Oblivion if the towns were made up mostly of Imperials, while the other races lived in smaller villages, like how Border Watch was only Khajjit.
