Upon rescuing the 2 kids from Paradise Falls, they took off running, one of them runs into a barrel causing it to fly behind him and into the other kid knocking him out.

Random thing that happened to me was the poor guy that wanted purified water ran into the river under rivet city. I wonder if he still likes radiated water.....

I gave the guy in front of Megaton Purified water one time and went into Megaton to finish up a quest. When I came back he was dead. This was no more than 1 hour gametime not playtime that it took for him to die. I wish i would have known, so that I could have kept my water.

Same exact thing happened to me but at Rivet City. I was like "Uh..excuse me?" and threw his dead body into the river...just in case. :unsure2:

I found a traffic jam and loaded it up with mines, and then dragged 2 wastelanders into the mess and fired the MIRV into it. After watching a body fall from the sky I checked and it was a scavenger :bonk: I must have nuked the poor guys so hard they transformed or something.

I was in megaton and it randomly told me i completed the " You gotta shoot em in the head" quest

Shooting deputy welds head at the Megaton Ruins resulted in it flying like a football. So I did it again. and again and again and again.

I was in Oasis, I wasi n the cave place and there was a Radroach. I had a Gatling Laser and kept shooting it. It didn't die. It kept following me too and wasn't attacking me.

I have also had Paladin Hoss invade my privacy after a good night's sleep in my Megaton house. It's creey enough with Dogmeat and Charon peeking in while I'm sleeping, I don't need ol' Hoss doing the same.

Of course, now that he's dead due to Raider bullets and a nearby exploding car(it happened before I even got to the location!) I don't have to worry about it anymore. The nameless Brotherhood Paladin that accompanied him on his original mission to save the Initiative still likes being creepy though.

I have heard the explosions in the distance numerous times(never bullets, but occasionally laser fire). I never investigate(maybe I should!). I wonder if that is what happened to Doc Hoff? One day he just stopped showing up, but I have yet to find his corpse lying in the wasteland(along with his bodyguard that didn't do their job). I have come across a pile of corpes that you wouldn't expect to find together in the middle of nowhere. There was a pile with a dead Robobrain, Radscorpion, and Mole Rat in it!

I once came across a dead Outcast Patrol(near the road blockade with the tent where they were going to "clean up" the radiation pool which turned out to be a small puddle) and started looking around in fear(if something could kill three of them, it MUST be dangerous, right?)! It turned out to be a Giant Radscorpion! That's it?!?

Yes, I remember that Radroach. Darn thing was invulnerable!

It's weird when you can hear them skittering, but can't shoot them because they found some way to be underneath the road. Sometimes their antennae or leg would pop up and then I could shoot them! Success!;)

Maybe I should've put the "tcl" console command on and attempt to kill it. I just left it alone

Did you give him purified water or AquaPura? I gave Carlos AquaPura at Rivet City and he died..

Not really random but it sure surprised me the first time and it was really cool. I was walking along a road in the western part of DC south of the outcast fort when I came apon what appeared to be a traffic jam. It never occured to me that so many cars would be dangerous. :facepalm: Of course I walked right in among them continuing on my way when all of a sudden raiders started shooting at me. A couple of the cars started burning and I said "Oh !!!!!111" and started running. Once one car exploded they all did. The screen turned white, there was a great explosion and much lag ensued. When the screen faded in my character's limbless body was spinning hundreds of feet in the air. I've made a point of remembering exacly where that place is so I can always go back and blow it up when ever I feel like reenacting when the bombs dropped.

Carlos died for me too...except that on my game his cause of death was that his head was knocked off by a super mutant.

Anyway here are a few random things that happened to my character, Leeroy:
- Walking out of my Megaton house only to find Star Paladin Cross lying dead in the street.
-Fawkes vanishing mysteriously. That svcked.
-Alistair Tenpenny's head exploding because I shot him with the mesmatron (I think that's supposed to happen but I was surprised at the time.
-Dead behemoth falling from the sky outside GNR.
-My Dad slaughtering all the citizens of Rivet City.
-Bryan Wilkes being chased by raiders.

i was walking through the wasteland when i fell over dead i had 85 rads and 100 health and no one was near me

For some reason lately Ive been hearing Vertibirds passing overhead and then some area next to me gets mini-nukes and when I search the entire area to find the landing spot...nothing

I was exploring to find some places for quests and stuff. I wasn't too far north of Little Lamlight, 3-4 squares, and A deathclaw was in the distance. I attacked it and it ran away. Next thing that happens is that it somehow gets launched up into the air until it is no longer seen. Seconds later, another one appears out of nowhere and goes flying. I sat where with Fawkes watching it for a while and decided to kill one. After it died. It was stuck in midair. No more flying deathclaws though. A random deathclaw attacked me too while watching the catapulting deathclaws.

When hacking computers i guessed the right answer multiple times in a row on the first try. Dont know if that has something to do with my science skill being at 100.

Probably more to do with you making some lucky guesses.

My Science skill is 100 as well, and all it does is make it so there are less words to have to choose from. The 'Very Hard' terminals are sometimes a pain in the keister due to the words being longer(it's easier to figure out the word with 1/4 right than 1/9 right. LOL!).

Another random thing has been Yao Guai appearing out of nowhere and as they're about to acttack somehow my character can spin around just in time to blast em with the combat shotgun. Am at level 14 now so i dont know if its a higher reflex thing or what. Its definitely creepy with my Audio Technica Ath-AD700 headphones and amp enhancing the sound where the strong wind and the heavy breathing of the Yao Guai are as one til its almost too late to notice as its about to pounce on me. Kind of reminds me of the Jimi Hendrix song THE WIND CRIED MARY.

Almost the exact same thing happened to me....a deathclaw starts running towards me and Charon; Bang, Bang...a couple shots from Linclon's repearter knocks it down to 1/2 half...and WHOOSH....it warps speed into space....as I explore this destroyed house near Lamplight (with all the mines), I notice the red enemy indicator comes back on...I go back out in the field, and I don't see anything...but Charon is pointing his gun straight up...it was hilarious....

Anyways, the wounded deathclaw, "lands" and starts charging again....Bang...and off it goes again....weird...

I think mine found a portal. It got really high, no longer seen and then came out of the ground and flew up again.

The same thing happened to me again today.

I love when that happens i still do not know where they come from theyre fun to hear though sometimes you can see something blow up. I have a feeling its something to do with cars gettting shot at by NPC's

Not many weird or random things have happened to me in the wonderful wasteland. One time however I was walking in the middle of nowhere to get to the ship for Zeta and some chick came up to me and said what you are doing is not good. She gave me some item and walked away I think it was for a quest and therefore may not count as "weird" but I like when stuff like that happens. Also one time when I was in lamplight and some dude came up to me and said lets go to big town lol so I went with him and some of its people got captured so I had to go to the Germantown police station and rescue them and the place was full of Super Mutants. I had no lock pick or nothing so I pretty much gave up. Thats probably my favorite part of the game is the fact that random people will come up to you with crazy stories of their own.
