Most Satisfying Weapon

I like the Displacer glove, just ran through the Legion ending again and there were a couple of really cool moments with that thing. Also, sneak attacking with it? They go freaking flying!
Super Sledge/Oh Baby is also good fun, but feels a little soft when you hit them, despite doing incredibly damage.

This Machine, I love reloading it to the point I'll be running along changing ammo types just to hear the 'ping!' noise...

AMR is kinda neat too, for sheer BOOM power.

The boomstick. That is the Hunting shotgun. Been a fan since Resident Evil, and shooting ghouls is just as fun as shooting zombies :D

Same here. I'm currently doing an online coop with one of my mates in Resident Evil 5 and the shotgun is awesome. I use it for everything.

On topic - the Hunting Shotgun or Brush Gun. Probably the latter, if I had to choose. I generally dislike the whole Cowboy/Wild West theme but these two are so powerful its difficult not to love them, :)

Why don't you get Lucky for more crits?

I had lucky in my last play through, but my current play through I dont have enough skill to pick the lock just yet.

Lucky is a good revolver, svcks that I cant mod it with a longer barrel unless it already has one, but I do agree, Lucky is a better .357 magnum compared to a fully upgraded one. They appear almost the same but gotta make do with what you got.

I tried the .44 magnum but its like for me the .357 magnum kills quicker than the .44 even though the .44 is a bigger gun.

.357 Revolver / Lucky - Revolvers that you have to reload properly one shot at a time.
This Machine - Can't beat the satisfaction of the M1 Garands 'PING'

Yep but there were newer revolvers with a swing out cylinder, the .357 revolver in here that has a loading gate is styled after the orignal colts and other revolvers during the "cowboy" era. Good rule of thumb is always keep it loaded up if you shoot two rounds off and no enemies around reload dont wait till your out cause you never know when you might need all six shots at one time.

The M1 is good, and alittle history note that ping of the clip popping out got alot of people killed. First it was the allied soldiers being killed cause the axis heard the ping and knew they were out so they would rush them shooting. It then beame the axis soldiers being killed when the allies learned to carry a empty clip and they would shoot a round or two and toss it on the ground and trick the axis troops into standing up to only be target pratice.

only beef I have with the M1 which is the same in real life is the peep sights, I just never liked them.

First - The Flamer! Nothing like patiently watching a group of mobs charge you until they are in range - and them kill a whole batch in a few seconds! Plus it is awesome to see them explode into flame bits.

Second, the Grenade Machine Gun with HE. Nothing says bad mofo then kicking the tar out of a group of Deathclaws with no sneaking and they can reach you!

Lastly, the fully upgraded minigun. I love hearing that barrell spinup. Follow by tons of ammo shooting out. Hot death.

Forgot all these pop guns!

Energy Weapons: I'd have to say the Pulse Gun when I use it. That charging up and firing sound is so pleasing to my ears and it dispatches PA and Robot enemies just like that.

That is just plain cheating. But since robot and PA'd enemies are so rare in this game i guess it's acceptable.

Riot Shotgun is sick and awesome

Machete Gladius is my favorite Melee Weapon because it reminds me of the blade that Eli used in The Book Of Eli.

Even an energy weapons buff like myself isn't ashamed to admit that outside of the P-94 Plasma Caster energy weapons just seem to pew-pew-pew rather unsatisfactoraly....

I find pew-pewing the opposition into ashes pretty satisfying.
Did Vault 34 with the AER14 this weekend, and there were problably like 5 or 6 corpses I faild to disintegrate :hubbahubba:
But that was all Roni's fault :swear: Damn you girl, when I say 'ranged', I mean you to use that Q-35 I've given to you and NOT the toaster, *sigh*
Srsly, with a character build straightly optimized for Laser weapons, these things are extremely powerful and satisfying.

YCS/186 And the Anti Material Rifle are my favourite weapons - has anyone guessed my style of play yet? :D

I do like occasionally not going sneaky sneaky though :ninja: and just going all out with the LMG :gun:

Lever-Action Shotgun and Trail Carbine are great. I like 9mm pistols and Lucky as well. LMG is fun to use too.

The Missile Launcher loaded with HE missiles.

Big ba-da-boom.

EXTREMELY satisfying. Especially when blowing up a group of Cazadores or Radscorpions.

I've just loved shotguns despite them being rather archaic.

I would suggest not telling a modern combat shotgunner that their weapon is "archaic".

Because in fact shotguns are an incredibly useful thing to have. With buckshot they are a well proven one shot manstopper on unarmored enemies, and then you can use slugs, rifled slugs, and saboted slugs to extend your reach. Then you can put in neoprene shot or foam slugs, or CS gas, for riot control. And when a door gets in your way pop in a frangible breaching round and let fly. In alternative timelines presumably they have practical flechette and explosive/incendiary rounds too.

Shotgun isn't obsolete. It's a swiss army weapon. Simple smoothbore delivery system to solve whatever problem it is you're having.

The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiga-12 too. And if you like the Riot Shotgun you'll love the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/39651-3-1297584251.jpg

FWE for Fallout 3 had the Jackhammer and the CAWS, but the AA-12 beats them both :gun:

The AA-12 is my favorite shotgun of all time. That many shells at one time is overkill. But it's awesome.
