Most underrated class?

So I say it would be a Heavy Medic. I also thought about being one too.

To me it's probably going to be Soldier since it's the most original class in games.

Heavy Medics are a great addition to any team, and several members of the forums have also mentioned they may make their heavy character Medic oriented. In my opinion the most underrated class is the heavy Operative cause every believes that Operations are assassins (Which they are not), and believe that a Heavy Assassin Operative wouldn't work out well. Luckily, the forum members know that Heavy Operatives are great at getting to their objective and hacking into things.

I'm going to be so confused at the phrase "Heavy Medic" because of TF2

I feel like no one is going to play a light soldier, or even soldier at all ... Just a thought though, probably have plenty of soldiers of all body types

Since the order of people playing from most to least is:
Operative
Engineer
Medic
Soldier
I am sure it will be soldiers.

My main will be a Soldier.
I feel like everyone shifted to Ops, but Medic will be plentiful, & Engineers as well.

Any class can be underrated if not used properly. The game isn't even out yet, so we can't really put out random underrated classes.

honestly ill probably run with a medium or light soldier as my 2ndary class/character
i personally will never use heavy as im always on the move in shooters and being restrained to snail like movements aint my thing plus i have a dislike for heavy spray an pray weapons like lmgs/miniguns etc

I am going to assume, for the purpose of this thread, that "underrated" means "least played".

With only four classes, each one so uniquely suited to a particular combat role and set of objectives, I doubt we will find a shortage of classes after a couple of weeks.

When I say "after a couple of weeks", I really mean "after a couple of weeks when all the noobs discover they all can't play as Light Operatives because they'll fail miserably at it and go back to Medium Soldiers, Medics, or Engineers".

Soldier will probably be the least played when you look at which characters do gamers call their primaries, but hopefully there will be a lot of gamers so even the least-played-class will appear in-game so I don't have to switch to make up for it.

My main will be a light soldier, can't over look how important they are to objectives as well as how useful their abilities are for various roles. Certainly they aren't in the same distinct classifications as Medics (obvious need), Engineers (obvious toys), or Op (obviously not obvious), but they have enough stuff to make them a great class.

EDIT: And the most underrated class (sub class since classes can fill multiple roles based on specs) will be the non-healing focused Medic. They have a collection of tools that could make them great at things other than healing/ressing, but people are going to expect every medic to be a "medic" in the strictest sense of the word.

Really? What abilities are you referring to?

Well, rammite just pointed several of them out above this post, but here's a link to Wraith's ongoing listing

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1178081-abilities-anolysis-and-updates/

and if this is close to accurate (we trust wraith) there is plenty of room for a buff only medic who doesn't heal. With the availability of plenty of medics this sub class could be a much stronger frontline force.

If there is any class that you think is not quite as good as the others, you are probably under-rating it.

As far as body/class combinations, the Heavy OP often gets made fun of, but it would be the perfect defense against enemy operatives.

Light Soldiers seem uncommon, but could keep people on their team supplied with ammo all over the map, and harass the enemy with explosives.

The medium bodytype in general seems under-appreciated, but i think many people will end up being it once they play the game. A lot of the time you don't want to be slow or frail, and the medium weapons are nice too.

I feel the least used will be a mix between Heavy medic and Heavy Operative.

Medic's 'should' be able to move around more, and besides healing (buffing) and shooting, what else can a heavy medic do?
Heavy Operative: Now i feel that they wont be able to move fast enough. Not as much as you think an operative should. Though im sure i might be wrong with this one..

See alot of people claiming heavy medic will be a good class.

It really does make me wonder though, whats your priority when playing as a medic ? keeping yourself alive or keeping your team alive? a Medic needs to be able to reach his team quickly.

Most underrated class must be light soldier, which could actually be quite effective mixing speed with Molotov cocktails.

Well, just like in ET:QW, you will need every class. So I'm not really sure which one will be least played.
I can tell you that you will see a lot of Engineers.
A lot of Operatives.

But I'm not sure on the other two, haven't gotten my hands on the game.

The thing with heavy medics is that they have so much health, and they will be be able to focus on healing their teammates more without worrying about getting killed. Medics also have a invincibility buff(I think). So imagine a heavy medic with that buff.

I don't believe that buff can be administered to oneself, like the Improved Health and Improved Weapon Buffs cannot be given to oneself.
