Most Useless Weapon?

Post » Fri Apr 16, 2010 5:53 pm

Easier ways to knock someone down - like Ranger Takedown or Super Slam. Besides, in the time it takes to knock a Super Mutant Unconscious with tape you would have killed em with the Bladed Gauntlet.

It wasn't a unarmed guy.
I was desperate, and it worked!

Actually, per base cap shot, the Gauss Rifle eats up more. 3 caps per MFC * 5 MFCs per shot = 15 caps to fire that thing.

One .50 MG round costs 6 caps.

Now, if you get into special ammo, then the price per round goes up. But then again, Over/Maxcharge goes up too once you factor in how many regular MFCs you have to expend to make them.

Ohh yeah what 8k for the anti material rifle where as the gauss is a freebie .

Boxing tape. I've used it once or twice and basically got my ass handed to me while using it. Maybe it's because my unarmed was low as hell but who knows. Might give it another shot with my unarmed/melee character....

The entire caps thing when it comes to NV weapons is ridiculous anyways.. With dead money.. Eh nm..

I am currently heading towards my second million caps now (still have ALL weapons, gold bars, armors/clothing, foods, drinks etc etc). All you need to make caps is the weapon repair kit code for the vending machine and some nice baddies that drop sweet toys :S

As far as the AMR vs the Gauss goes. Both have drawbacks. Uness you use the Agi glitch the Gauss take approx one lunar ROTATION to reload, but the AMR.. Hmm.. Kind of lost track of thought now, I know there are some bad points for the AMR. ANYWAYS! They're hardly useless..

Useless items = Boxing Tape (it really is), knife and Raul (most useless thing in NV)

Raul (most useless thing in NV)

Raul with Old Vaquero and a Brush Gun is a relentless death hurricane sweeping across the Mojave.

Yeah the recharger pistol is awesome but the rifle is worse in every way and thus pointless.

Yeah, but I'm about 186 hours past that stage. (That's only one character out of 14)

Lucky (on a lucky character) and the Mysterious Magnum can be quite good.

My vote is for those .22 weapons. Never used them.

the .22 smg can be lethal when aiming for limbs especially because the ammo comes in bulk and you get expanded drums for it so it can tear them up for like 60 rounds or so and have them limping so you can VATS them for the head and bingo the only problem is its ammo. I never really had the nack for revolvers or pistols in general

The recharger rifle is something I have as a default handout in an alternat start mod that I am working on. the problem is that too often unless you get lucky and snag one in the Cyote Den by the time you can actualy get your hands on one its usless.

Ive put a couple of the .22 smgs in the prison. they honestly make sence there, with decent body armor Vs unarmored crooks its no question that they are usefull. but usualy by the time I get to Vegas I have a silencer either for the .10mm or Varit gun, and usualy by the time I get to the gunrunners shop I have both avalible to me.

Other than that though.

The whole no patch on DLC issue is something that is causing both the Xbox and PS3 headakes.

Those recharger weapons.

If you are hurting for caps, recharger weapons are excellent for wasting freeside thugs or anything not worth a bullet.

^Just carry a lead pipe/shovel/tire iron. Even with a 20 Melee you can still kill those turds with no problems. And faster then with the Recharger Rifle! Why lug around a 15pd weak rifle?

You can have a lead pipe right out of Good Springs. I bet my non-melee guy could things faster with a lead pipe then your EW Guy could with the Recharger Rifle!
