Most Valued Mods Election for Xbox

What you think of the possibility that Bethesda could give to some unique and particularly well made mods to appear converted by them for XBOX to download as free DLCs?

Would we like free DLC for the console users? Of course.

Problem.

First Bethesda would have to redo parts of the mod b/c most mods are aimed at higher end rigs; Larger cells, more objects, larger textures, ect ect and so on. The problem is it couldn't be free microsoft would have to charge for it.

Remember when valve tried LAWL.

Well it depends , if filthered by Bethesda I think it is very possible , basically someone at bethesda could spot some particularly good mods and propose to polish and convert for DLC in xbox , wich would definetly add to the gameplay lenght of the game ....

As has been discussed many, many, many times before. This is very unlikely.

Who decides which is best?

Who tests them?

Who does the work of converting and porting and retesting and repackaging them?

What about mods that use third party programs? Some of the best mods have required tools such as script extenders and LOD generators.

Not to mention Bethesda won't be able to do this for free and out of the goodness of their hearts. After all the above they'll have to recoup their costs and that means they'd have to charge for them.

If they are voted for by the Xbox user base

I think Bethesda should certainly use popular mods as inspiration for DLC and expansions. Like somebody said above, some mods wouldn't be possible on console hardware as they need access to more raw power. However, quest ideas, clothing and equipment, art direction, etc should all be looked at by Bethesda for official expansions.

How could the xbox user base vote on something it has not played? And really PC's aren't that expensive if you REALLY want mods just upgrade the one you have or buy one with a good processor/psu and throw a gfx card in it.

OR build one.

And before you go herp the derp i want my tv and couch...cool get a 2nd hdmi card plug it into your tv problem solved.

Bethesda ( better than making one from scratch no?) if is valid it can go DLC ...

not usable .

It's their interest , they woudl double or triplicate their dlcs numbers if they did that without need to spend team and resources for it ...

I'm suprised no one have mentioned that it could become a problem with the game lore. Everything in the MW and OB DLCs have been a part of lore. Of course they could just ignore that.

They'll still need to invest time and labor into it, and when you do that you get money back. SO yes they'll have to charge for it and anyways

MICROSOFT will charge for it ANYWAYS.

Bethesda will still have to review said mods for content.

Nope. Would be all Bethesda that tests them. They'd need to meet minimum QA requirements and that means using Bethesdas in house testers.

Bethesda ( better than making one from scratch no?) if is valid it can go DLC ...

So Bethesdas dev teams, testers and programmers will do the job?

not usable .

Well, thats a lot of the best and most unique mods out the window.

It's their interest , they woudl double or triplicate their dlcs numbers if they did that without need to spend team and resources for it ...

Wrong. As I pointed out above they WILL have to spend time, resources and personnel on all of this. That COSTS MONEY. They would have to charge for them.

And now we have a new problem. If Bethesda charges for mods and doesn't give payment to the original modders (Which is within Bethesdas rights as the owners of the GECK) then thats going to create a lot of bad feeling within the modding community.

Also what about incompatible mods? I've had to bypass some great looking mods because they aren't compatible with another great mod I'm already using.
