most you have ever spent on a single game?

$60 when I preordered Skyrim.. I would have done it again for the new Wolfenstein game, but this time I'm going to wait until it goes down in price. I would have bought the Skyrim CE as well, but there wasn't enough in it for me to take the offer.. so I ended up just getting the standard edition.

I think it was something like $80, back in the days when SNES games inexplicably cost that much.

Around 800 hours on Fallout 3, around 700 hours on New Vegas and I've been playing Fallout 1 and 2 at least once a year for over a decade.

Probably CK2 even though I didn't buy it (Xmas present). Theres a lot of DLC and even buying it all on sale it adds up.

Probably Morrowind. Bought XBox & PC version + expansions. Lost them in a fire so I had to go out and rebuy them. Later GoTY versions came out which I bought. If that doesn't count I would have to say probably the $90+ bucks I had to spend on TNMT (NES). Had to special order it through Electronics Boutique since no karts were near me and this is before the internet.

This kiddies is called "not reading the thread".

Alduin's been sitting over where I keep my wallet for almost 3 years now and my wallet is yet to be stolen, so I'd say it was a good investment.

Almost as good as my rock that keeps tigers away.

I have a good feeling all of those 100 dollar games were RPGs. I've read plenty on that topic.

I actually do have a valuable Wii game. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. It's worth okay money currently for a Wii game. I found the game too hard after awhile. Good story, but way too hard for me. I can usually get used to difficulty, but not sure if I could for that game.

Was that PC or Console because i know Console prices are insane and my standard PC copy didnt cost close to that.

Only ever payed alot for Collectors Editions, wouldnt ever pay anything over $100 for a PC standard edition.

I've bought a number of games for $60. I would think it to be something like Planetside 2, as I've bought weapons, or Borderlands 2 or Sleeping Dogs where I acquired all of the DLC.

The most I've ever seen spent was my roommate, who shelled out full price for Steel Battalion at launch. $200 if I recall.

£140 for the Skyrim CE. Wasn't really worth it for a plastic dragon; I think I'll set my ceiling at £100 (preferably closer to £30!).

Once accoutrements are added on, probably Mass Effect and its assorted lithographs. Not all of them were worth having (and, indeed, I don't have all of them) but the good ones were great.

And in terms of "I must buy loads of new hardware so this thing runs nicely", Oblivion.

I've bought plenty of games for 60 dollars over the years. I've mostly spent up to 50 dollars per game lately because I mainly buy handheld games and Japanese games that started out as budget titles. I don't remember how much Earth Defense Force 2025 was, but pretty sure it was around 50 dollars. 60 dollars isn't much of a rip-off for me with this game because all those laughs and the fact that it has fun looking local multiplayer for when I feel my nephew won't begin to fear insects too much from it. I need to avoid things that could make him fear insects heavily because I don't want him fearing them. I want him to see how they could be given some form of respect.

Some of these giant insects could scare a young kid pretty good.

Ashens said something once. What was it? Oh, he said not to buy Collector's Editions. The he said buy them if you want, but please don't. Closest to a collector's edition I've ever gotten was Shin Megami Tensei IV's first print run edition and that was well worth every dollar and penny. This was only 50 dollars, too. That is a bargain compared to many Collector's Editions that only really market themselves as having extra stuff. None of it having any point. This first print run had a very useful early game strategy guide(it's Shin Megami Tensei. You need a guide for these) and also had a very nice soundtrack CD. The main thing was the game and slip case for me, though.

Soul Hackers had a less good first print run, but that game wasn't getting much attention after it came out outside of people complaining about how old a game that was a Sega Saturn exclusive is. Yes, let's complain about a game being old when it actually looks quite nice even by today's standards. Seriously, the FMV scenes were pretty well done. This series never has had amazing graphics outside of the earlier days where some cool stuff was done.

I find complaining about a game that was amazing to get into the US just because it also has the misfortune of being an old game that was made in the FMV days to be silly. This game's FMVs still were pretty cool to look at to me, but I love to admire old game tech. I like seeing what it could do. Seeing Doom on the Spectrum? My ears may not like the music, but that is just amazing to see!

Sorry if I seemed self-righteous there. I was just ranting about people being upset that a game is old. I find this complaint to be the most ridiculous thing ever. It's not like they simply upscaled the PS2 version of Okami on a 1080p TV, after all. I've seen Okami at that condition. It is ugly and sad to see.

Three sheep, two goats, and a cow. For a copy of Skyrim. Was it worth it? I dunno. Ask me after I have stopped playing it. :)

Oh, I misread completely. :ahhh:

So, most money? 699 kronors, the most a new game (without being a collecters edition) would cost.

I would never spend that amount of money again though.

Unless it is a Kickstarter game I REALLY wanna support.

Does Rock Band 3 count? Even though I spent 30 dollars on the game itself, but I couldn't play it without the specific controllers which I probably spent around another 80 dollars on. (40 on drums, around 10 on micrphones, and 30+ on guitars).

If not then...

This. I pre-ordered Skyrim on March of 2011 and picked it up on release day.

I've never been one to buy all those overly expensive collector's editions and [censored], so I'm happy to say that I've kept it inexpensive most of the time. Back in the day games usually cost 100 bucks around here, but those days are long gone now that I only buy digital.

I've spent $60 on several games. And $100 on the Collectors edition of Halo 4, which in hindsight wasn't worth it. I will wait and see what Halo 5 ' has before buying it. I would probably only go up to $120 for a Halo or Fallout and it would have to have nice items.

I've only payed full price for some games. It would have to be some of my favorite games over to paymore than the original full price lol.

Fallout 3 at...um...80+60+30+60+20+20+10

so...280 bucks?

Why you may ask? I bought the collectors edition, then sold it when I was done. Then I caught word of the DLC's and bought it again (futureshop charged full price...). It got damaged so I grabbed an EB games copy at $30. 10 for MZ, 20 for each DLC disk, and finally 60 for the GOTY edition.

I may have a problem...

I don't think Oblivion came close to that, but I did pay for all the DLC's at one point or another.
