what has this world come to? *sighs* people are a real shame nowdays. i just dont know how some one could kill they're own kids and not even feel anything about it. i say give her life in prison, the death penalty is an easy way out.

Sounds kinda like a psychopath but normality is so overated and as a autistic (High Functioning mind you) rather annoyed afterall some of the greatest intelluctuals in history were autistic and with people like autistic savants who make for productive members of sociality. Just seems delusional to kill over such petty perceptions.

That statement makes as much sense as DaVinci making a laser-sighted revolver embedded in his gauntlet.

That doesn't make up for it, if she couldn't handle raising them she should have given the up for adoption.

I have a couple friends with autistic siblings and....just wow.

Different way of thinking, I guess. But to kill them? Not just have another kid and hope for the best? Killing them was her first choice? She's only 30, which means she was 25 and 28 when she had her kids. Sure, as you get older, the chance of your kids being autistic rises, but...don't kill your kids just cause they are.

...people piss me off.

This didn't happen in some backwoods part of Texas, this happened in Dallas, one of the bigger cities in the USA, and next to Houston, by far the most cosmopolitan. If anything, it's "lol cityfolk"

This is a case of a person who had a mental issue, or for another reason I can't say or else I'll get warned.

It was bugging me and I had to share it. Hopefully it won't get locked.

I agree, considering that I'm a high-functioning autistic (Asperger's) myself. Normality is rather overated.

I wouldn't be surprised if the second child was the "other kid" that she hoped for the best with.

Yeah, you have a point. I just wish the lady would have done something other than think killing them was the best thing to do. Maybe research it a little? My best friend's brother is autistic. Here's a list of things he can do:

- Speak Spanish almost fluently
- Draw, from memory, detailed road maps with all the stores of outlets listed in them
- He made a, somewhat to scale, model of Ocean City, MD on the floor of their house. It stretched a good 25-30 feet
- He works at Wawa, GameStop and is part of a swim team

I mean, if she would have just looked into it and realized what some (I say some because I'm not sure of actual statistics. Just going off of what I know) people with autism can do, then maybe she wouldn't have been so quick to kill them. The article even says the 5 year old was going to speech therapy and improving.

She didn't kill them because they were autistic. She killed them because she's out of her [censored] mind. Think your kids aren't normal, lady? Look in the [censored] mirror. You're a sociopath. Get off my planet.

You should know better than anyone that not all autistic people are as high functioning as you are. The really, really bad cases of autism out there are heartbreaking and there's little hope for those children to become "great intellectuals." These kids may very well have been some of those children. That doesn't mean that the mother should have killed them, no, she's just a monster, but I'm confident she didn't kill them because of "petty preconceptions."

You don't have a factual basis for that statement, do you by any chance?
Because I think most people rather enjoy their normalcy.

Personally, I love being high functioning ADHD. I don't actually need to sleep. (technically a lie)

On-Topic:
This sort of situation crops up disturbingly often.
People don't seem to realize that being unable to lead a "normal life" is in no way equivalent to unhappiness.
The worst form of intolerance is to ignore that others do not need what you need to be happy.

I hate to say this but I can't help but think that if she's that messed up I'm glad that she had enough sense to remove any mistakes she may have made against the gene pool.

I don't mean autism by that statement, I just mean that anyone as sick and twisted as her shouldn't be having kids.

Facts are over-rated. Blind assumptions have solved so many more problems. :P

Personally, I'm not entirely sold on the death penalty for this woman. She deserves it, mind you...extremely actually, but that would be like hitting the husband twice. He just lost his kids, then he goes through the hell of having his wife executed.
