Ok, so a few months ago my motherboard usb ports fried, my computer worked properly so i left it that way, a few weeks back my motherboard stopped working completely, so i sent my computer to the company i got it from, they changed the motherboard and my computer started working, but they never told me they had replaced my motherboard with a different model. So what i am asking is if my current motherboard is better than my old one or not.

My Motherboard was: J&W A785GM Fusion DDR2/DDR3 HD4200 128M AM2+/AM3
My current Motherboard is: ASRock N68-S

Your old one wasn't working and your new one is -- so I'd say that's immeasurably better.

The point of the response was to query what exactly you meant by "better". There are a lot of different variables that can be compared, and very few that can be compared usefully.

Having it support DDR3 memory, better video chipset (well its still integrated, but the 4200 is still more powerful then the Nvidia 7xxx chipset). Your old one had 6 SATA II 3Gb/s ports, your new one only has 4.

Edit-Also your new one only has 10/100Mb/s Ethernet, your old one had 1Gb/s connection. (Big difference in home networking but if you just use the PC for Internet access, you wouldnt notice a difference).

That said, if you weren't using DDR3 memory (since the new one works you probably weren't), and all six SATA ports, you won't actually see any difference. The only thing that's actually noticeable is the video chipset and the ethernet link.
