The whole motion sensor gaming market is funny to me. It really became a legit way of gaming when the Nintendo Wii released. These things flew off shelves and everyone wanted one. Even months after release people we're still having trouble getting their hands on one. i remember my friend whom worked at Walmart telling me people would learn when the delivery trucks dropped off merch and these people would wait for the trucks and wait for the Wiis to get stocked.
If you guys remember, that console was originally going to be called Nintendo Revolution. That or "Revolution" was the code name for it during its development, I don't remember. Basically Nintendo expected the Wii to revolutionize gaming. What's funny about that is shortly after the success of the Wii, both Xbox and Sony developed their own motion sensor peripheral for theIr consoles. The motion control ability was virtually all the Wii really had going for it. Once Sony released its Playstation Move accessory and Xbox added Kinect, nobody wanted or needed a Wii anymore and sales dropped dramatically. It basically became obsolete. I honestly do not know one person who still plays Wii. The only real thing left for it is all of its successful franchises like Mario, Metroid, Zelda, etc.
What do you guys think of that, and also how do you feel about motion control gaming?
