Mount & Blade Style Character Creation

For those of you who haven't played Mount & Blade, you create your character by answering a handful of questions about your past. How you answer these questions dictates your starting stats and, to some extent, the way NPCs interact with you.

For example, it asks what you did as a child and your potential answers are:
A page in a nobleman's court (increases strength and charisma)
A blacksmith's apprentice (strength and intelligence)
A shop assistant (intelligence and charisma)
A street urchin (agility and intelligence)
A steppe child (strength and agility)

Would you like a similar system in a TES game? It gives your character a back story, rather than starting with a blank slate. I feel like it's more "natural" feeling than a class system, as well. Since your stats are derived from your experiences.

I don't really know how the RPing crowd would feel about it. On one hand, it somewhat limits the player in coming up with his/her own back story for their character. On the other hand it's an opportunity to make a back story actually part of the game, rather than just something you're imagining as you play.

Mount & Blade only asks 4 questions (What your father was, what you did as a kid, what you did as a young advlt, and why you're adventuring) would you prefer to see more questions than that (so starting stats are more greatly impacted) or do you thing 4 is enough?
