Mountain lions in TES IV are still a thousand times easier to deal with than, say, the cougars in Red Dead Redemption. Or the grizzly bears.

Who, in that game, tend to attack in squadron-formations of 30 or more.

*shivers from memories of camping in the cabin in Tanner's reach with two friends then making a run for the road and getting mauled*

But in Oblivion I've never had trouble with Lions. it's the damn trolls that give me problems.

On the hardest difficulty I played an atronarch and stacked spell absorb + reflect damage gear... once you hit 100% absorb and 100% damage reflect the game is pretty pointless....since everything does 0 damage to you.

EDIT: and remember to run in a zig-zag pattern so when the kitties and trolls use their jump/lunge attacks they don't pounce on top of you.
