Let's not forget that we're talking about the Nordic homeland. What about dogsleds? What about snowshoes? What about skis? I think they all sound like very tantalizing prospects.

I would love to see different kinds of mounts in the game other than just horses. Seeing how dragons are in the game, it would be awesome to fly with a dragon or ride a stilt strider.

Maybe have different forms of transportation, mythical beasts? gryffins?

What does everyone think?

I'd like to have rideable bears, moose, or bison (or creatures that are vaguely similar). Horses are so bland and unintimidating. I want to charge in to a bandit den on a giant cave bear. Raaawwr!

There should be a special mount for every race, and griffins that fly from city to city. For transportation only.

I'm perfectly fine with horses again. But I would like to see some variety amongst the breeds. Maybe the introduction of some kind of large draft horse better suited to Skyrim's climate.

Why would Skyrim have special mounts for lets say, Wood elves or Argonian? That just doesn't make sense.

Personally I'd rather they stick to horses (with mounted combat please) but indeed with a little more breed variety. And/or some other large beast that is native to Skyrim and that can be tamed within reason (so no bears). Lets keep the extravagant stuff like rideable bears/dragons/whatever to mods...

I just want to kill from my mount, I don't care what though.

At lvl 50 or so you can perform attacks with the suitable skill.

Lvl 50 Blunt/blade/(polearm?)/unarmed? skill - melee only.

Lvl 75 Blunt/blade/(polearm?)/unarmed? While charging with your mount you may do extra damage due to momentum.

Magic and range may or may not act as regular.

-Unarmed- might be difficult to have such a small reach from horseback, might not make sense.

- Poleams - I hope to mch for spears. (Polearms are best used from mounts so they would do massive damage.)

Also be able to ride your mount into more areas. at least.

As long as the mounts are lorefriendly, and doesn't look [censored], I'm up for anything. But something winter/mountain-ish would be cool : D

No MMO-ish ridable epic lion/hog/ dragon/ phoenix/ coke bottle/ adoring fan mount please.

Let's stick to the lore.

The four mounts I want in order of easiest to get to hardest, Horse, Unicorn, Bear, Pegasus! Actually just the first three but the last one would be awesome :celebration: Some kind of flying mount would be nice, even if it is and god forbid it be a dragon. They are suppose to be intelligent able to go into human form, so why let you ride it! I'd like an airship more. Yes they have airships in TES for those not to familiar with things outside Oblivion (although you never see one fly).
