What would be the point of the game being on consoles if you can just circumvent the control scheme?

Agreed, but for those who would play ps3 with a mouse and a keyboard, they'd have a huge advantage over the other players who play with a controller.

the mouse is OP on consoles, so it will probably need a nerf. something like 100 dpi, and huge acceleration cap?

If you want a mouse, buy a PC.

It's funny to see how a lot of console-people are telling that there consoles are so much better as a PC but every new console generation starts looking more as a PC.

I spent a £1000 on my last PC when crysis came out just to find nothing could run it at a steady frame rate, I'm all up for investing in a new rig but I will wait and see what performance the latest hardware is getting! so I will play on my console until then.

No one could run the first Crysis at a steady frame rate, most still can't. Crysis 2 is better optimized to look better and use less.

Think of it as a suit upgrade, without actually replacing the suit :-)

I was able to run crysis on my 8600 gs gpu...thats a mobile gpu. If you spent 1000 buck and still didnt get a decent framerate, you are better playing consoles because i seriously doubt ur hardware knowledge

Sorry what I meant was a steady frame rate at very high settings! I had a intel quad core 2.6Ghz (Clocked at 3Ghz) 4GB ram and a 8800GTX (this card was best at the time) and used to play at 1280x768 with 2x AA In high to medium settings on vista 64x the famerate was almost a slide show toward the end of the game.

lol 2x AA on an 8800gtx? That card could barely run high as it was. IF you had / did turn off the AA like most players you might have gotten much better FPS. My i7, 12gb ram, GTX 295 rig cant handle high + AA, but im not disappointed at all. AA is to be used on games you can get like 100+ fps in anyway.

Yeah AA was a bit of a problem on that card I upgraded to a 9800GX2 and to be honest that wasn't much better in very high.

I'm on a budget nowadays but looking at this rig as an option
