ps move support?

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 11:35 pm

hi guys. coming from a PC FPS background i recently bought killzone3, ps move and a sharpshooter rifle. it really does make FPS a whole lot of fun!

are there any plans to support ps move or am i forced to buy this game on pc? i sit in front of a desk 9 hours a day at work so its nice to laze on the couch and play. plus, my pc's gfx are getting a bit old now (8800gtx 768mb) and with a baby on the way i really cant justify £200+ on a new gfx card :(

Smoochy, if your concern is the controller when you are used to a mouse, look on amazon at the FragFx Shark.... I am a console guy through and through so the controller was my option of choice, but a few of my friends who transitioned from PC swear by the Shark and got me to give it a try... It is pricey at like $90 or so plus shipping, but if mouse is your preferred aiming method it would be a great option for you. I don't think it is any better than a controller as my stats are basically the same as when I use the controller, but I find the shark to be more comfortable when I game. It's wireless runs on 2 AA batteries and I use rechargeable batteries, which give me about 2-3 weeks on one charge.

I work at gamestop and as far as we know majority of games will not support the move or sharpshooter unless they are PS3 exclusives

PS Move? on Brink? I would find that very frustrating to use, if it is added i don't think it would be wise to use it, i don't see how it would work well with Brink, i could be wrong and it could work amazing on Brink but the game isn't built to work with it as far as i know.

I hear the official Sony accessory (I think it's called "Sharpshooter") is actually more suited for shooters then the controller. Then again, they were saying that about Killzone 3.

I googled that shark thing. That seems like a very unfair advantage against people who use the reguar controllers.

That is mostly marketing as my stats are almost identical to what they were before switching to the Shark. In all honesty it is just more comfortable to me than the dualshock, as I actually prefer the Xbox controller to the Dualshock or the Shark. Everyone has their own opinion on this but to me it is a matter of personal preference and at least from my experience there is no competitive advantage. In fact my best ever round on BFBC2 was accomplished with the Dualshock, and I have never bested it with the shark. However my hand doesn't get cramped with the Shark so that is why I use it.

actually killzone and sharpshooter is immense fun. the first fps i have actually enjoyed on a console. im not sure if its the novelty value of the move or because killzone is just quite a fun game.

i think sat on my couch with a mouse just doesnt feel right and i want to play games on the home cinema not on the pc. i can get my pc to output to the denon amp and 42" tv but it never feels right. not sure why. it doesnt help that pcs are a pain to get to output in proper 5.1 via optical cable. most are just 4.0

i will have a look at fragfx - cheers bro!

i can see what you say but if console fps really want to evolve you need a better controller. the fact that ds3/xbox pad users need some form of auto assist (all games have it built in) seems a bit pants to me. i want to know my headshot was done by me, not the game.

pc has been king of fps for years now. if more people started using move fragfx i think gaming would improve and the amount of snipers would diminish.

IThe reason I find it more comfortable is that it allows me to sit in my recliner with my arm and the mouse on the right arm rest and left hand and frag chuck on left armrest. Super relaxed way to play games. As for the unfair advantage, the games are set up with limits on sensitivity and such so the shark can only do the same as the controller... Again it is all about what works for you.

Sorry buddy, No PS move support plans. :unsure2:

There generally only for PS3 exclusives, such as Killzone and Socom. :D
