"Move to valuables"

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:49 pm

Just as I was replaying Dragon Age Inquisition, I noticed how much I used the "move to valuables" option in the inventory, which didn't exist in the previous installments of the game. I personally have some difficulty in managing inventories in RPGs, like when I give a break to playing I quickly forget which weapons I prefered using and which ones I had looted just to sell, so that "move to valuables" command really helps me there. In a game like Fallout where loot is even a bigger thing than in DA, I'm thinking that option could come in handy.

Id love for a trash, move to valuables, etc. Though with the new gun mods and buildings it seems like there might be a reason to keep everything and not sell it.

They did say that you can mark items now, at least for stuff you need from the environment. I'm not sure if that could apply to organizing stuff you already own.

BGS is probably bringing back the Favorites Menu system from Skyrim. They haven't really said anything about this at all though.

If you want to make a mod but dont have the parts you can say "look for parts in wasteland" or something. So when you hover them to pick up, itll be like "you need this for x mod"

The 'move to valuables' system? In DA:I there is a class of inventory item called valuables. It's strictly for items that have no purpose except to be sold for currency. The player has the option to flag armors and weapons etc as valuables so they will get moved to that classification. When at a vendor the player can click a "sell all" button and it will sell everything that is classed as valuables to the vendor to free up inventory space, including any armors or weapons etc that the player marked for sale.

Yeah, it's not a bad system, TBH. I wish it wouldn't flag research items as "valuables" though.

I really hope inventory management overall is improved this time round.

There's now a junk tab in the pipboy... so it seems Miscellaneous tab will be a little less cluttered.
