Movement discussion.

For those who don't understand. How realistic will the sounds be when moving around in the world?

Will different terrains produce different footstep sounds, will sounds vary on the same type of terrain?

when our character sprints, can we hear him/her breathing?

if he's low on fatigue, do we hear gasping for breath? same goes for surfacing from the water.

Will the swim speed still be broken like it was in Oblivion?

Will movement speed be slower when going uphill? Will it be faster going downhill?

Will there be echos in caves and other similar places?

Will sounds be different when we strike different things with our weapons? In other words, when we strike dirt, will it sound like we're striking metal or stone?

Will we be able to choose our character's voice when he makes noise, since there are multiple voice actors per race? (70 voice actors means 7 per race, 3 or 4 per gender of that race).

well bethesda has always been very good with sounds in their games in my opinion, so yeah I think it will be great. But what I would love is different sound if its raining inside a city and the rain hits metal objects and so on, like buckets or metal armor, it would be awesome to hear that kinda hollow sound of rain this way.

As for movement by itself, I don't know how improved it will be. From gameplay that i've seen, characters still "float" around sometimes, and don't move their feet right away when they move.

It's a good thing I'm playing Oblivion and Morrowind before release, so I'm only impressed by Skyrim instead of disappointed. :tes:

*sigh* this may sound narcissistic, but it's a shame i'm not a part of dev.
