Movement & thumbsticks

Post » Sat Jul 18, 2009 11:31 pm

I feel that the movement (not aim) is a little too sensitive/twitchy

Its like my character goes from 0-60 in the slightest touch of the movement stick not cool when you are trying to pick up an object or use a switch, Also makes aiming a little bit iffy at times to.

IMO the movement control doesn't feel like it was really refined for thumb sticks to well with its on/off keyboard feel.
All the other controls feel great really smooth but the movement feels like it needs the acceleration dampened a little (not to slow down the player or game play) just to smooth out the movement near the centre of the thumb stick especially when in ADS.

Sometimes its ok other times its like I'm on ice skates

What's other peeps thoughts on this?

Edit:
Dont take this as a complaint post I really like the game.

For the most Part I agree on this. I like to shoot at close range or med range NOT LONG RANGE. Any idea if you change the sensitivity on controller settings if it helps close up and med range. Like some guy said yesterday, He was a idiot, SO AM I. So I don't care about insults over the web. Say it face to face if you wanna talk ****

The sensitivity will only affect the look/turn (Aim) speed as far as I know.

Though it seems that MP & single player have their own sensitivity settings (noticed this yesterday)
It feels like they are on a different scale,
To have MP & SP feel like the same sensitivity My SP is 90 & My MP is 75....its weird.

And the aiming in Singleplayer is better and more precise than the one in MP, weird hey.

I don't know what they did but aiming is definitely worse than the beta, and I've set my sensitivity down to 30 and still having problems. >_<

Noticed this as well, first started playing the campaigne and I was all over the place, slightest movement of the sticks and I was looking at the sky, as well as spontaneous sliding when not even touching the stick. So I went in and moved the sensitivety down a notch or two, seem to help a bit but man its does take some getting used too.

I too enjoy the game extremely, graphics are crazy good!!!
