I just watched a couple movies and noticed some movie references in Fallout 3:

Post other movie references if you find any!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/: Megaton

Oh dear.

The Transformers character is MegatRon.

A megaton is a measurement of exposive power commonly associated with atomic bombs/detontions.

Damnation Alley of course had the giant scorpions. Rad roaches too I think. It has been ages since I have seen it though.

The DLC Mothership Zeta was basically all of those crappy 50s, 60s, and 70s Alien movies and putting them in a mixing pot, and stirring it.

There are numerous movie references throughout the game, mostly small - lines of dialogue and things like the Protectrons being modeled after Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet. Then there's more obvious stuff like The Replicated Man quest, heavily inspired by Blade Runner, and the giant ant quest 'Those' inspired by the giant ant movie 'Them'.

Well I may as well add some others may have missed. Course the most blatent is the Mel random encounter heh and him not having ammo for his shotgun, thats a direct nod to MM2 with Max and the gyro captain. "empty all this time now thats downright low" (err thats the jist of it heh)

Another strange one most people I think would miss is a line from Cool hand Luke (1967 southern chain gang/prison break movie) that you can hear in Paradise falls about eating eggs.

Also it may be unintentional but the Pitt Dlc story arc bears a strong resembalance to the Heart of Darkness story (1902) that the movie Apocolyspe Now (1979) was loosly based on. " I love the smell of napalm in the morning...." with Ashar being Col. Kurtz.

And Point lookout swampfolk and the way the uhh squeal when dying sure seems another nod at the movie Deliverance (1972)

And of couse the whole Dunwitchlovecraft thing but really most the movies made from his stories are a bit uhh well crappy heh. Though the movie Dagon (2001) and the Call of Cthulhu (2005) were pretty good adaptations in my book.

Thats all I can think of at the moment

There are the references to the stupid and very overrated Mad Max films.

The Pitt looks like they wholesaly ripped out chunks of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Look at the arena, shudder.

Mothership Zeta is referencing old sci fi films and tv.

Those! is inspired by the Them! film.

And there is the tedious and stupidly scary refference to Lovecraft stuff. The horrible Dunwich building.

The rest of the Lovecraft references are good though.

There is the Replicated Man quest, which is copied from the tedious and very overrated Blade Runner.

Better than Blade Runner though because it is actually ok.

I remember a conversation about eating eggs between some slavers in Paradise Falls that is like Cool Hand Luke.

Blink I uhh am right there with you cannibal club I really can not see how blade runner is over rated.

I though of another one maybe its iffy though the Hockey playing gang of ice warriors might be a nod at the movie Blood of Heroes (1989) huh Rutgar hauer again as it was based on well a post apocolyptic sport.. (maybe not but its a good movie if you havent seen it)
