mTES4 doesn't detect Wrye Bash . . .

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:29 pm

For some reason after reinstalling Oblivion on my computer after a clean Windows install, mTES4 no longer detects Wrye Bash. This wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for the fact that my desktop shortcut for Wrye Bash keeps forgetting its icon (and who likes a shortcut without a picture?). Does anyone know a workaround so it will show up as a launch option in mTES4?

He will have the same issue with MOM until he understands that he must install Wrye Bash for each clone/image of the game.

Make a clone active then install again if it isn't already. Most of the tools (except Gecko) will work only if you have the correct file path for Game, save game, and AppData folders active. That is where they store most of the information. So if you make a clone off of an install that doesn't have these tools in it - starting it for one will not control the others.

The reason I know this is the problem is due to the missing icon on the shortcut. That happens to me to when I switch to a clone that does not have the tool installs - whether it be OBMM, Wrye Bash, or whatever.

The exception and special handling case is BAIN - in which case I laid out all options on dealing with it http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1084204-bain-mod-installation-projects/page__view__findpost__p__15798007.
