Muatra

http://www.imperial-library.info/characters/trial_vivec.shtml

I have seen a lot of arguing as to whether this is an accurate portrayal of events, but that isn't what I am asking here. Would it be lore accurate to create a mod surrounding the spear Muatra that Vivec creates? Something along the lines of a quest to find it, or rebuild it, etc.

Also, is there any other referenced item that would be good to make a quest out of?

You've missed the joke.

It isn't a clever joke either, just give it a second read.

After reading all the replies I still don't see why there shouldn't be a mod. :mohawk:

I wonder if all godly body parts can be used in the same way as the Tribunal used Lorkhan's heart?

Oh sure, why not? You can tap Lorkhan's ass for all that power from behind. You can bounce on his magic balls to travel great distances. His nose has been used as an aphrodisiac by the high elves for years.

I personally believe Muatra's phallic comparison is simply symbolic, but we'll never know for sure until we ask Bethesda whether or not a spear called Muatra would be an allowed mode. But this is just my opinion.

It would be quite interesting to see Muatra IRL. I mean how would it look?

I have always seen it similar to a Dwemer spear but more elegant.

Presumably it's what we see Vivec going at a Shalk with in the statue outside High Fane. (An ebony spear)

That's on the literal 'real world' level, of course.

I've always seen the muatra-spear as a representation, or physical manifestation, of Vivec's unquenchable labido. It is spear-shaped because it represents it's namesake, Vehk's unit. But, to put it bluntly, I don't think anyone else could weild Muatra, since it is a god's [censored] made into a weapon. Think of it like a bound weapon. Where is Muatra? In Vivec's pants, of course. If he wants to kill you with it, he'll summon it's spear-form in order to use it as a weapon. A Flaming Lips song comes to mind. *wanders away humming the tune to detachable p3nis by the flaming lips*

Of course it's symbolic. Symbols are the reality of the gods. If a symbol doesn't have actual power, it's just a lie invented by mortals.

I would imagine so, there is a bit of symbolism involved, but it does indeed seem to represent a... more advlt oriented aspect of Vivec.

That being said though, I am not sure why Vivec would have one of those with a name like Muatra, with a name like that though, it must be quite... impressive.

Given that Mephala is the anticipation of Vivec, I imagine that he'd literally use a spear for his more...advlt oriented things. It gives both lustful and violent imagery.

What happened to the good old days, when people would impale each other with spears made of metal?

I tell ya, those upstart Tribunal punks, with their debauched six, and their 'rock and roll'...

As it should. ;)

Wait is the reference to Muatra being Vivec's privates be this part?:

Vivec assembles a spear from the bones of his armor.

Vivec: "Here, this is Muatra. Guess what it represents."

Vivec stuffs Muatra into Azura's mouth. Azura chokes!

Vivec: "YOU ARE BANISHED FROM THIS STARRY HEART"

Azura explodes.

Sorry, I'm kind of slow.

Kind of yes. But as stated it could just be purely symbolic, but I would like to think it's not. :D
