b4 the patch: avg 70 fps when renamed crysis2.exe to FEAR.exe, after the patch: avg 20 fps in both crysis2.exe and FEAR.exe with same settings
WTF!!!!!!! additionally, every time i turn off hi res textures they turn themselves back on when i restart crysis 2, can i just delete these or something???????

Yes, On patch 1.8 i had 100 fps vsync on. never dropped once in mp. all setting maxed. now 1.9 dx9 alll setting low. too keep no dips below 100 fps.

It will make people go running for new hardware. Ive got sandy 5ghz 480 trisli. 8gig mem.... and play lowest setting's. But the game dont use all my GPU power

ya i know i dont need new hardware, crysis 2 was running better than ever and then all of a sudden its really slow and i cant disable the darn hi res textures. renaming exe to bioshock eased the pain a lil bit but not much

First of all you need to realise that there's a difference between Lag and Framedrop.
And to answer your question, you can just disable the high res textures in the Advanced Graphic settings menu.
You also might want to disable DirectX11

Must be something wrong with DX11.. My DX9 setup with high res textures is melted 'butter' smooth locked @ 60 FPS.

You can delete the files in the game folder to disable DX11 amd the hi res. I had to delete it because of the lag in multiplayer. now everything is back to normal (before patch 1.9).
