I just murdered someone out in the Pale. I got a pop up for 40 gold added to my bounty. The only thing nearby was a Mudcrab so I bolted it. After I killed it I got another pop up saying last witness killed, 40 bounty removed.

Kind of sad the programmers don't even know their own functions as well as us modders do to forget to add a GetCreatureType!=4 line in their code to omit all non humanoids from reporting crimes.

I don't recall any spell allowing NPC's to cast on animals that lets you see their memories.

That witness deal, does it only work for immediate area? I attacked orc on the road to which a guard a rich guy / woman saw and my bounty went up for some reason, I killed the orc guard and woman but the guy took off, so I chased after looking for him.

I eventually found him nearly a small wood mill and killed him before he reached the mill(it was night time and no one was outside) but my bounty remained, so my question is there a time frame in which you need to eliminate the witnesses ? Or perhaps a wild fox was running by and saw the whole thing and has remained a witness to my crimes? :shakehead:

I was roleplaying a stormcloak
VICTORY OR SOVERNGARDE!!! (not sure on spelling)
and I saw a group of imperials taking a captured stormcloak along the raod so i murdered all the imperials to save my brother in arms, except after i killed them and turned around i saw the stormcloak guy, hands still bound, sprinting down the raod away form me.It looked hilarious. However, he tatled on me and i and to pay off my bounty. :sadvaultboy:
