I'd rather see a skyrim variation.
Or maybe a skyrim variation living in the colder regions, an oblivion version living in the warmer regions and a morrowind version living in and around swamps (i doubt there will be swamps though).

As long as the mudcrabs aren't so incredibly annoying as they were in Oblivion. I mean, THEY WERE EVERYWHERE!
And they attacked at such a short distance!

I'd say, make the mudcrabs attack/detect you in a shorten distance... so they won't annoy you so much. And make some mudcrabs passive, while others more agressive (don't let all mudcrabs act the same; this basically goes for all creatures... a more varied behaviour).

Concerning their appearance: Make them neither. Oblivion's looked like real crabs. Morrowind's looked pretty cool and unique. Skyrim's should look like something else though I think.

Thats a fantastic idea dude. I too would love to see a Skyrim variation of the little bugger. They need to have a much shorten detection range and maybe have 2 types passive and aggressive.

"morrowind or oblivion style mudcrabs?"

Mudcrab dip, mudcrab souffle, mudcrabs braised with butter...I'm not that particular.

New mudcrabs!!!

Although on behavior, they should move slower than Oblivions, maybe be slightly more passive.
Besides, its freezing they need to conserve energy...

They should have the sea full of giant pistol shrimp. Since the Nords have booming voices maybe the animals could have booming claws.

Well, since the poll doesn't ask whether or not they should be in game, I'm going to say that I prefer Morrowind's. But I don't think they should be in game, since they tend to enjoy water, and there isn't much water in Skyrim that isn't frozen.

I would've thought it'd be too cold.

How about Horkers instead?

I don't really remember the difference; I didn't play Morrowind very long, and my disc doesn't work anymore, so IDK.
