Multi-class characters

That is it cost two supply pips to apply a buff to yourself. Not 2 level points to buy an ability.

Sorry I did not understand but I think all abilitys are one to one with lv points.

Well, one ability for 1 point is MASSIVELY better than what I thought it was.

Some abilities "kinda" cost more than 1 point because of pre-reqs... Check http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150152323194843&set=a.10150149447139843.310536.94712919842&type=1&theater : You cannot purchase this Ability without first purchasing Light Turret and Medium Turret.

That said, I still doubt I'll need to ever buy all 10 abilities a class has to offer.

I was actually under the impression that you could only have one class?
Man this game is so much different than any of the other FPSs Ive played.

This changes everything. And inspires a very long evil laugh from... me.

Muahahaah. Cross-Classes? Oh man I can't wait. So many ideas.

Edit: Also, will this allow Engineers to take the control turret ability as well if they cross class? If so, wow.
Many props to SD.

Yes and No, you can take the ability, but only use it when your an operative. There are 5 categories of abilities on for each class and general. General abilities apply to all classes. The class abilities only apply when you are that class. Each class has some base abilities, and abilities you can "buy" as you level up.

So then basically, you can cross class abilities, but only play as one role at a time?
Interesting.

Depends on who you're playing with. If you join a pub and only have skills put into one class, you're going to be fighting uphill the moment you get put on a team with 3 other people who use that class. (I actually just got done trying to figure out some probabilities for such events on the SD forum....yes, it was and is very geeky of me)

On the other hand, if you are playing with a few friends, you could really help out your team by each having a focused build on a different class.

In a clan battle, the only time i expect to see dual class builds is if their map plan involves one or more players changing class for different objectives.

Personally, I plan on having a secondary class in most games, if not equally dual-classed. Currently I'm leaning towards Medic/Soldier, but I have yet to actually play the game.

Interesting.

Basically, yes.

When you're starting the match, and every time you go to a Command Point, and presumably when you die, you choose a class.

Universal abilities you've bought for your character will always be available, but class-specific abilities will only be available when you have that class selected.

No word on whether you can go Engineer, plant a turret, then switch to Operative to control it. Presumably not, though.

Afaik you can not change your class on respawn, because you can't while you're incapped and when you respawn after that, you do it instantly.
But you always respawn next to a CP.

Also, as a sidenote: You always spawn as a Soldier in the beginning, if this has not been changed.

Your turret will be destroyed if you change your class, afaik.

I'm really hoping that has been changed...

I dont think it is that way anymore because in the video in my sig a heath buff is given in the first few seconds of play during the security gameplay.

It is confirmed that you can choose which class you want to spawn as before the match starts.

I'm sure they will. And I think alot of people will have multiclass characters, because when they switch class via command post, they have some abilities to back that class up; instead of for example, switching to Soldier and only having the basic Soldier kit.

As for me:

10\5\5

Medic\Soldier\Universal
