Okay then.

EDIT: Didn't see the subtitle. It's the same deal as any other laser and plasma weapon, laser has better rate of fire and faster projectile, while plasma is a slow but stronger projectile.

I loved Tri-Beam,because IIRC, all 3 shots can score critical hits. Not sure if the Multiplas is capable of that.

Tri-beam has the edge. It fires much faster.

If you go for tri-beam be prepared to repair it, a lot..

My advice would be to get 'Jury Rigging' so you can repair it easily and cheaply.

If you have Dead Money then just ignore my post.

So is Multiplas.

Tri-beams' advantage over Multiplas is projectile speed and accuracy......if you mind either you are looking at the wrong weapons.

Tri Beam for accuracy?
The thing is like a laser shotgun and quite often the beams split off in totally different directions..

The Multiplas does decay fairly fast, but definitely not at the rate the Tri does, it's like it's made out of playdough or something..

And the Multiplas is a plasma shotgun.

Spread
Multiplass: 1.5
Tri-Beam: 0.5

Tri-beam is more accurate, it also has a higher critical chance. (especial after laser commander is taken.) and it fires faster. Personally I wouldn't use either weapon out in the open as the inaccuracy tends to become a major issue.
