Multiplatform Crysis 2 is "better for everyone" YEAH RIGHT!

I was literally laughing out loud when I read this. Crytek is blabbing to the press about how awesome their game is, when it is very clear that this game is severely broken. Maybe they should fix this game instead of gallivanting to the press and working on map packs. what a joke.

The industry knows this is a joke already which is why they have to drum up their own positive media, I went into the local EB games yesterday and saw 5 used copies of C2, that might not be much in terms of global sales, but seeing that many returns at my local games retailer barely a month after release doesn't make me view the situation positively. I'd have more patience if we could see some sembelance of communication via the "official outlet"..... But another week has passed since the last round of civil requests. Nothing. I'm waiting another week and then getting ready to trade it in for Portal 2 or maybe wait a bit longer for Brink. At the very least more players are going back to other titles, was very surprised by how many people were playing Transformers WFC last night. In fact, I'm going to stop complaining and go have a bash of that....

I too am growing tired of the lack of communication. It's nearly been a full week since this fabled patch, yet I've heard nothing officially.

I really do feel let down, because I do think the game could be something great, but the lack of support and appreciation for the community has really killed it for me. I'll definitely be picking up Brink in hopes of revitalizing my interest in the console FPS genre. Do it expect it to be 100% bug-less? No. But hopefully they will talk to us and let us know they are working hard to fix what we paid for.

This is ridiculous. I read that DF article earlier tonight and I'm shocked that I'm seeing this article before seeing info on what Crytek is doing to address the plethora of bugs riddling the game.

Seriously, if ANYONE from Crytek bothers to read these forums......this is shameful behavior. How could anyone in their right mind ok the publication of this PR drivel when the game is in the shape it is? Yes, the game has managed to get some pretty sophisticated effects up and running on hardware limited consoles...now can we please get a fix for THE BASICS? For example, it would be FABULOUS if the lobby music didn't sound like it was wreaking havok on my home theatre system......you know.....things that are being done properly by just about every other game on the PLANET.

Do you know what the worst part is? One of the main points of the article was that the PC market can no longer support the development of big budget games on it's own so the move to multiplatform is now a necessity. OK, I can wrap my head around that. What I can't wrap my head around is the total lack of communication from the developers regarding issues that many feel are game-breaking. It simply doesn't make sense! Crytek has invested millions of dollars and years of effort in creating this game, and the company is completely pissing away that investment by alienating the very people they need to be courting if they want to continue growing the company over the next couple of years.

So to whomever is in charge of Public Relations at Crytek........it's time to get your head out of the sand and get your priorities straight. Putting out fluff like the Digital Foundry article is not in your best interest given the state of the game....it's a huge slap in the face to the people who have purchased your product and are waiting desperately for some info on fixes for game related issues.

At the moment you are hemorrhaging the goodwill of a sizeable chunk of an important demographic. All it would take to stop the bleeding is some meaningful dialog with said demographic. I sincerely hope that someone at Crytek has the sense, the respect, and the decency to do so.

I think Crytek hurt their reputation on pretty much all platforms.
