Came accross my first XP boosters last night playing on the capture the relay mode. One guy had 32,000 points for picking up this relay which was being dropped / picked up / dropped by a guy on the other side who had - 32k points. Threw a few grennades at them blowing them up a couple of times then left the game. They belonged to a {trol} clan , seemed to be half of them in the game in on it .
It really beggers belief why people spend hours on end gaining XP rather than just playing the game the way its supposed to be played, for fun.

Same thing in lots of other games. It's the main reason why Guerrilla took custom ranked games out of Killzone. I see the same thing in Homefront as well. I accepted an invite from a friend to join a match and all it was, was a boost-fest to get trophies. It was beyond boring. I left after 5 minutes of that nonsense.

I also came across a player using the host glitch, and knowing where everybody was even before they spawned.
I know hosts are supposed to change every round, but this guy 6 times in a row was the host, maybe the same kinda hack like black ops..

I wont write the name but if Admins would like to know please pm me.. since it was effin unusual to spawn and die from one bullet as we spawned.

What? When? Where? NEVER seen that before. And don't call him a hacker for being host 6 times, maybe the rest of you got crap internet. Post proof or none of that ever happened.

You killed me when I wasn't even playing with you! I was in an other lobby than you and you killed me with 1 shot! Cheater!
Now unless I post proof, none of that happened, see what I mean?

You didn't say hacker? Sorry is this not your post?

Childish? Me? For what stating a FACT? Proof or it didn't happen? Go learn about the world 16 year old kid, telling me to "STFU". You sure didn't make yourself look any cooler saying that.

Look at you talking all big now after crying (underlined) before. Grow up.

.

I'm hesitant to call that hacking. I have been made host several matches in a row as well. Last night the host kept alternating between me and my friend. And in no game have I ever seen host advantage like this. It really does kind of feel like cheating when you get it. With predictable spawns I could easily see someone destroying a team this way. When you're host, you're most likely going to be seeing people before they see you.

Again, you clearly know nothing about P2P gaming so just stop posting in these topics.

You know nothing about gaming at all. Stop gaming?

I post wherever I want with whatever opinion I got, kid? That's the beautiful thing about freedom isn't it?

There is no such thing as host advantage Canadian kid.

Why is it that when there's a complaint somewhere, that there is always a Canadian to confirm it? You guys are born or bad luck or what?

Played with zero problems last night. And even when I wasn't host I was getting kills! That's new, lol.

I think I proved my point.

Kid? Really? I can't believe you went there, but thanks! Considering I'm almost 40 that feels great. I am a little dumbfounded that you actually said the words, "There is no such thing as host advantage" though. I must admit I can't even bother debating with someone who would actually say that.

Obviously you're just trolling for s***s and giggles but I don't have time for that really.

Read above your post, you posted that in an other topic.

What happened after that? You played, got killed a lot by someone and then came crying here about some host advantage?

You know why you can't debate? Because you've got no proof of this thing called host advantage. Create a game, you and I don't care who. Both make a video of the match and see if you do see someone first if you are the host. I strongly doubt it. It's all in your mind, because you don't like to get killed. You've got to blame something...

I'll tell you what this thing so called host advantage is. Someone found a new thing to blame his deaths on and spread the word. It's the same as a good joke, it starts in one country (could start in a really small village) and a few weeks later it's all over the internet, everybody in the world telling that joke. That's all there is to it.

Lol you really need to read some more of my posts. I have been complaining about host advantage from day one even when I get to be host. It's cheap and unfair. Last night I was host a few times and finished in 1st place every single time. Then the other team got host and I was lucky to go 1:1.

Clearly you'd just prefer to assume like every other troll on message boards, and then proceed to make yourself look like an ass because you don't understand what you're talking about. Host advantage exists. It has existed in P2P games for many, many years, (Google it), and Crysis 2 has it in abundance.

Okay I've provided enough amusemant for you for one day. Happy trolling.

Okay I just couldn't let that one go. Have you ever played Black Ops? If you have, you'll notice that sometimes you'll come around a corner and an enemy will just be standing there staring at you. You wonder what the hell this idiot is doing before you blow him away. It's because he showed up on your screen before you showed up on his. There are videos of this from both perspectives on Youtube if you don't believe me. You need to do a little research on lag, lag compensation, and latency before you try telling people what does and does not exist.

You said "played with zero problems..." and now you're saying you're lucky to get 1:1. Do you even know what you want, are you schizophrenic? Do you have two personalities, 1 playing fine then when you stop the other one comes in and starts thinking about the matches you played and he desperately needs to find an excuse for the deaths?

Yes I play black ops and no I have never seen anything like that happen. Maybe he sees you faster because he has faster reflexes and you are just slow. Host advantage might be the host's bullets registering faster than the other guy, but there is no way that he sees you faster. If he's behind a corner and you aren't there yet, he can't see you! If you go around the corner and he's there, you can both see each other. The same with spawning, if you didn't spawn yet, he can't see you.

Either your console is messed up, or your mind is. You tell me which one it is. And don't tell me my mind is messed up, because what I just said is just simply logical.

Bleak5170 is 100% right just FYI. Host does have an advantage because everything going on in the game is relative to how the game registers their movements first (considering the host is not lagging at all).

For example, if the host runs around a corner and sees you he'll likely have a .2 or .5 second advantage over you before your screen registers that he turned that corner depending on your connection to the host. Therefore the host will be able to shoot you first.

There is undeniable evidence of this in all P2P games from CoD to Gears. The person with the better connection will have the advantage. Even in games like MAG where it had dedicated servers, Japanese players who often play off new fibre optic connections would always be able to shoot first or kill you with a grenade before you realized it was there and etc because their connections were faster to relay information to and from the servers than American or European cable/DSL lines.
