Multiplayer is dead in Australia

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:07 am

Well Crytek wasn't quick enough. Only one full server in the evenings here in Australia now, all others are completely empty. Multiplayer is dead in Australia, unless patch 1.3 fixes every single one of the problems listed in the various threads, primarily the hackers.

Even keeping everyone updated on patch 1.3 progress would have been enough to keep us happy.

Alas, you have failed.

Wish Australians would grow a brain when it comes to this issue. Look at where you live. Unless you are playing on a dedicated server thats based in Australia you are going to have lag. Stop trying to play on American/European servers and whining when you have awful ping.

Sorry but patch 1.3 is not going to add lightspeed internet to your house.

Unless a game has an Australian community im afraid you are out of luck whe it comes to a multiplayer experience.

Why can't people just leave lobbys when a hacker is present? Jesus it's not that hard, and please read my post on killcams about hackers, they're not always hackers if you pay attention.

So where is the nearest servers for Australian players is located? If they don't want to play on AU servers. This is very strange to see players from australia on our server located in frankfurt with ping 400 and higher.

ps i hope with patch 1.3 they will release normal RCON where i be able to set minimum ping for players

I'm in Aus. i can't even log on. I use the right login details but it keeps saying they are wrong. I've changed them like 3 times now. This is getting annoying because I loved the camp and i really want to try the multiplayer. Please help if you can

Someone who completely misses the point and going off on a rant that has nothing to do with the OP.

GOOD JOB.

@OP: It's not just Australia, the game is dieing everywhere. It's hard to find a full server in the US as well.

Its hard to get an Australian game when every Australian server is empty.

I wish people would grow a brain when it comes to this issue. Read the OP. Unless you have poor eyesite or English isnt your best language you are going to easily understand what the OP is saying. Stop trying to read the first 3 words and whine when people point out all the things wrong with what you said.

Sorry but mashing the keyboard with your head isnt going to add validity to your post

Unless you were lucky enough to string a sentence together that made sence you are out of luck when it comes to posting on forums.

See what I did there??!

One full server? Every time I have jumped on Crysis 2 in the last 2 weeks I have seen 0 people in Australia playing. I can't believe I have gone back to Black Ops, crysis 2 was meant to be the bridge between Black Ops and Battlefield 3 (for me anyway).

Crysis 2 failed so hardcoe on the PC, it's lifespan was less than a month, hell at least crysis wars was played consistently in Aus for years. But then that game wasn't a rubbish console port.

I wish I could get a refund, this online activation stuff isn't done to stop hackers, its so developers can ensure they make money even when they release a terrible game (the game itself was ok but dead multiplayer in so short a time renders it terrible for me).

This.

The location of Australia is horrible when it comes to playing online games with people around the world. EXPECT a bad connection. And considering the amount of people living in Australia, it's not a lot. And then taking into account the population of Australian gamers ONLY, and then Australian gamers with Crysis 2 ONLY, you can see that it's NOT ENOUGH to have a large community for constant multiplayer, UNLESS most of the Australian Crysis 2 gamers get together and make the effort.

Yeah, nothing was lost other than our money =\

Besides, US servers are also dead with only about 3-8 of them with players this night. Crytek failed badly for the PC gaming community and now the game is dead within just a month! I hope EA knows about this and starts firing people in Crytek.

I quit because the latency issues just made this games potentially fun MP ****. Not much fun when you have 30 ping yet 1second latency.

@ all of you who have provided their responses considering my OP thankyou. Too Hedgehog8 and others who cant read and didn't get the gist of my OP then I am sorry for your unintelligence.

To those that think Australia has no gaming community then you are wrong. CSS and BF2 both brilliant games, the former with at least 30 fully populated servers all the time.

I started multiplayer with about 10 populated crysis2 servers, and now there are none.

At those of you who think I am blind and dont know the difference between a hacker and a great player, perhaps you should check your intelligence and powers of deduction when you see a player cloaked all the time and spraying bullets everywhere. Or flying around the map for that matter. Or killing you with a pistol with one bullet to the chest.

I hope sincerely that this patch comes out soon and makes this a great multiplayer expereince, because ultimately this is an awesome multiplayer experience if they addressed the issues discussed (not just hackers but everything else too!)

^And what if that server is also empty or ruined by a hacker.SmartASS.

then just join a differnt server stupid

this is not about leaving servers to join others as we please because of an idiot cheater. In any case this cant be done because of zero populated servers.

This isnt a post meant for abusing each other about hackers and avoiding hackers, this is about the fact that the multiplayer can only be saved if Crytek release this patch very soon, otherwise the world will give up and crysis2 will inevitably be added to the growing pile of rubbish, buggy games that have been released since Far Cry 2 (which was the last game I can think of that was great with no major issues!)

So use your brain and keep the discussion related to my OP, instead of abusing people who have legitimate and supportive responses to what I have to say.
