Multiplayer Issues IGNORED By Crytek!

Post » Sun May 15, 2011 8:28 pm

Why have the multiplayer issues for Crysis 2 PC been COMPLETELY ignored by Crytek without them even giving us a simple update saying that they are working on the problem?

Seriously, the MP has not worked properly since launch and yet they still have not fixed it or even given us an update regarding the problems many are experiencing. What kind of support is this for the community that made Crytek what it is today?

A lot of things? Why didn't they confirm the multiplayer was working PRIOR to release? It doesn't take 4+ days to fix a game breaking bug that does not let most people play the mutliplayer portion of the game.

They could at least tell us that they are working on it rather than remaining silent about the hundreds of complaints they are surely receiving.

I can't relax when I paid $60 for software that has been broken since DAY ONE.

Look at the stickys! http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=12386

Servers

Ranked servers failing to start
Some ranked servers are failing to load into the game. This is a known issue that we are currently investigating. If you find yourself in a game lobby without voting options or a game countdown then you should leave the lobby and find another game as this one will not load correctly. We will post updates on this issue in this thread when they are available.

Don't look at me, that's the damn high taxes you pay in Europe. In any case, there should be OUTRAGE over the fact that Crytek has not even attempted to show that they care about or are even attempting to fix the problems with the game.

Regardless, 98% of servers are having the BUG they described, so looking for another server is NOT the answer because MOST of them are BROKEN.

It's funny that people who didn't play the beta/demo think this is a knew problem and it will be fixed quickly. Games not starting or the count down timer getting stuck at one was a huge issue over 30 days ago and it's still not fixed.

That's my point. If it wasnt fixed in a month don't expect it to be fixed any time soon. They did not acknowledge the issue even once during the beta as far as I'm aware. And here we are release day + 3 and we've now paid our hard earned cash for a game that only half works.

I also don't recall an official statement about this problem, but i'm not very active on these forums so maybe i missed it.

Does anyone know if there ever was an official acknowledgement of this "server does not start" problem ?

I just want the dam nano reset bug from the SP fixed for now (as i mainly wanted the SP) every single time i restart the game i'm back to 0 nano, how can a bug such as this get past the testers it's a gameplay feature, i mean one of the features of the game is to collect the nano so you can upgrade the suit yet the nano resets so you can't use it!.

I do want them to fix the MP bugs aswell but i think it's a lost cause (far to many bugs and no responce from crytek about a time frame on fixing them, the MP will be dead before it's fixed i recon).

PS - Patch in a walk key! (why that's missing is beyond me).

I miss the time where games are worked without patches and are still good....
fix it quickly or the most players never join the multiplayer again.......

This is nothing new. See Crytek's lack of support for Crysis 1 and then Crysis Wars.

Indeed, this is one of my biggest fears. If they don't address this quickly those who bought the game and keep having issues will simply forget about the MP and this will, in effect, cut the player base by a significant amount.

Add to the fact that BF3 and MW3 are due out later this year and things aren't looking good.

I'm holding out hope that these issues will be resolved very soon.

Crytek, the ball is in your court.

Why do you buy a game on first day od release, if you are not able to life with this kind of problems??
It is nearly normal that new software (and most other things like new cars or .. or. or..) have problem in the beginning.
So let them work on it.

Yeah nearly normal, you orderd a new out coming car, you waited for it, you finally received it, but... engine doesnt start/work properly, central lock doesnt work at all and so on... but hey, its a new car its normal having problems in the beginning. Why spend time on testing it, when you can be in Turkey. ;)

Yeah, right. If new cars worked as well as the multiplayer in Crysis 2 does then car companies would be going bankrupt daily for all the lawsuits because their product caused so many deaths.

Only video game developers are allowed to get away with selling people half finished products.

So let them work on it.Uhhh right, Only reason they do it is because they can just update it, with older games such as PS2 and Gamecube they couldn't release updates so they had to make sure the game was flawless before release.
