Multiplayer lagging unplayable

Post » Wed Nov 25, 2009 3:17 am

Am I the only one with this problem? I really cant play on any server!!! It's lagging like hell !! I've got over 100 fps but it looks like I am playing in slowmotion !! The lags make it unplayable in multiplayer for me and that svcks because it is a MULTIPLAYER game.
I know that my internet is not fast but it's fast enough for every other game to play it online (ping around 100-150 depending on game).
My system:
Intel Core I7 920 @ 3.2 Ghz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 285 with latest drivers
6 GB DDR3
ASUS Rampage II Extreme Mainboard

Yes, I've got the same.
I can't do anything, shooting an enemy takes 2 clips, while they have me in a second.
And going for objectives isn't possible, cause I can't guard myself in the LAG.
And I rubberband all over the place, sometimes even bouncing right infront of the enemy.
Every other game runs fine, lag free, but Brink makes me rage it's so laggy.

Not to be a Smart Ass but just remember it is a new game it hasen't been relased very long,
give it some time they still need to work out the bugs and the glitch's, While also remembering this game was created by Bethesda the creaters of Fallout series.
How long did you have to wait till the patch's where available for them and thoese didn't even work for most Ps3/Xbox Consols???
Lets just hope they get on to it an create a better FPS shooter then Black Op's
because you all know it thats why where here.

Peace

I know it's hardly a solution, but as a temporary workaround measure (the devs have indicated they're working on the issues), I've set my setting to 1024x768 resolution - it's a dirty little compromise, but I'm not getting lag when I play now.

@IncubusDragon: Does not change anything in my case. I've no performance issues ( over 100 fps ) and setting down my resolution did not solve my lag problem. :banghead:
I want to play online please Splash Damage fix it !!!!

I might add that my connectivity bar is always red even when I'm host and I really don't know why. I can play every other game online, but Brink is lagging like hell !

That's just the beauty of p2p. I've played in 4-5 matches since psn came back up. 1 match was almost NO lag. 2 matches had some lag, but nothing too bad. 2 matches had HORRENDOUS lag, where the match was almost unplayable.

I agree with most of the people in this issue, ever since DAY 1 of Brink's release, I've only had AT LEAST 2 matches with no lag. But every other match I join, the lag is so terrible that I can't even move!!!!! :banghead:
Knowing Bethesda though, they'll put up a patch to fix this mess

For me, it's the principal of having lag problems AFTER the game is released. This is a perfect example of poor testing and releasing a broken product... Developers should make sure the damn game is polished BEFORE releasing. Bad Co 2 ran a public beta for several months, then ran a multiplayer demo, gathered data, and tweaked before releasing. The result was a solid product.

The PS3 patch still svcks! I am using a wired connection (with a constant green bar) and I am sick and tired of teleporting all over the effin' map! If this doesn't get fixed this week I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bereau...

teleportation, not slow motion.

That's what it's like.

Magical teleportation.

Magical sudden death.

Well now this sounds very reassuring.
But never the less I still can't wait for it to release here tomorrow.

If the lag is such a huge problem though; I'll probably find myself only playing single player.

I'm still astounded as to the amount of extra time they spent working on the game (half a year to be exact), and the final product is still so unpolished.
