No thank you. My characters are like my multiple personalities, and they do not match well together. Such a scenario (besides being a bit pointless/gimmicky) would end up negatively. I don't want to be reminded of test character 13b when I'm playing or loading a section for Billy the Space Cowboy, for example.
After a lot of [censored] ups in Morrowind (I had NO idea what I was doing) I made a test character that I ended up playing for two years. The mighty “2222”. I still liked him so much that I named my Oblivion character “11-11”. Coincidence?
Anyway, they wouldn’t be there if you deleted them.
That would be... interesting... although it should probably remain as character selection only. If I want to actually interact with them, I'll mod them in.
The only weird things I can see happening is having multiple variations of one character showing up (though that can be solved by having a "profile" and multiple saves on said profile) and... well... why would Dr Philip LaForeze want to associate with a ghostly dragon named Sha'El? No, don't answer that. Logic and time incongruities have no place here, in this metaphysical bar, this Crossworlds Lemniscate.
Actually yes, that is exactly right.
Im sure that it would work best as a character selection menu, as however innocent of a feature it may be, some would inevitably be offended by it messing with their personal character lore.
I just started thinking about it because in Oblivion I played two characters whom I imagined to be friends. But it was like they were cursed to never be in the same place at the same time. :violin:
