Have you been to HORSE's compendium? That answers a ton of questions about Brink.

All your information are belong to the compendium.

you have to chnge characters inbetween matches

Where is this confirmed? I thought that I could change between my different characters in-game, probably during the respawn menu. Obviously there will be situations that call for a light-body Operative and then a heavy-body Soldier during the next objective ..

Many times. Trust us, we have been watching and reading for along time.

Edit: you can change classes at CP's

Every bodytype can achieve every objective. I'm not sure if bodytypes are still determined for a character, though.

Only one class can achieve a certain objective, but classes are fluid. Against some teams you rather want a light objective-player, against others a heavy. But it's up to your team to balance this before the match (or rematch) begins (if bodytypes can not be changed).

Ohhh .. so you can change classes at CP's (and during respawn?) but you can't change your character .. so if you join a match as a Heavy, you're a Heavy for the whole game?

A level 20 can't go into a game where the bracket is set lower than his level bracket, however, a lower level character can get into higher brackets if there are no games to be found

IIRC, this isn't true. A level 20 could very well join a lower level game to play with friends or for whatever reason, he just will losr abilities as if he was of the appropriate level. For example, a 20playing in a 1-5 game would lose 15 skillpoints worth of abilities while he plays in that game..

You can't do that. You can change class but not character.

16 chars. And iirc there are 10 archetypes for each side, they just didn't reveal all of them yet.

Tbh, I don't remember where I read it. I think it was either on the SD forums or on this forum when someone was talking about the eel (an archetype that's not listed on the mainpage)

I can confirm that the number 20 (10 for each faction) is my knowledge of total archetypes, too.
