do you know what all of them are

SECURITY:
The Jesse
The Look
The Good Cop
The Freak
The Bomb
The Shield
The Bug
The Eel
The Bouncer

RESISTANCE:
The Anger
The Dude
The Firestarter
The Sweat
The Warrior
The Fortress
The G
The Wasted
The Lost
The Voice

those are the ones I know of.
It also appears that there should be options not tied to archetypes (like the clown face paint.)

You've got The Bomb twice there. And oddly you forgot The Bug.

Tbh, I don't remember where I read it. I think it was either on the SD forums or on this forum when someone was talking about the eel (an archetype that's not listed on the mainpage)

the eel? That sounds....interesting

Do we know what the Eel and the Bouncer archetypes look like?

I know there's an odd mask for Security that has eight eyes (seven blue, one red); is that the Eel?

I've seen the shirt of the voice and the full eel, but what do the bouncer and lost look like?

And in pointing out my mistake, you answered your own observation.

You can see the Bouncer (concept art) in the vid below. He is viewable at 1:27, to the right of "The Sweat" concept art.

The Grin mask of the Psycho Preorder Pack would also appear to not tied to archetype, but it's definately Resistence-only, the same way the Spec-Ops Pack's Sloani mask is exclusively for the Security.

But those are bonus items, not default items.

Are there any items at all tied to archetypes?

Probably not, considering any archetype can wear any clothes of any other archetype of the same faction. Which (to me) defeats the purpose of having archetypes; for starting a character before you customize it, why not just randomize all your possibilities and then scroll through the options for the normal customization? Several games I've played and probably many more do that already.

Goes back to the "I like shirt 1 the most" compared to "The anger shirt looks awsome...."

I think he was talking about character slots (how many characters a player can create,) not archetypes - in which case, 16 is correct.

Any archetype can not wear any clothes, since archetypes are the clothes (and other options)

Characters can wear any combination of options, but archetypes are the options - a set of options to be more precise, that all match each other.

It serves as a good way to form a starting point for players, when customizing their characters, and provides nice, neat, pre-packaged sets, for those who don't care for mixing and matching parts.
