Multiple equipped weapons

One of my favorite mods for Skyrim is this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49784/?

What it does, among other things, is to show the currently favorited weapons as equipped on your character. So you can run around with a bow on your back, a dagger at your side as well as a mace and whatever else.

It's something I find more immersive then weapons magically switching when you press hotkeys, plus you kind of look cool sporting all that hardware. Almost like you're a dragon-fighting hero or something...

So the point of all this - I'd really like to see something similar in Fallout 4. Pistol, rifle and combat knife and maybe grenades/mines displayed as favorited (I'm sure FO4 will have hotkeys in some form).

Who's with me?

(And yes, you can over-do it, but it comes down to some self-respect and self-control, as usual. Or not, whatever is your fancy. You wanna look like a walking pile of nuclear destruction, go for it. Just go the opposite way from me. In case you trip.)

That would be pretty sweet. Perhaps have us be able to equip them to different hard points on our armor so we could see them visually.

That was a favorite mod of mine as well (though it was technically just an ini setting that you had to turn on). It had a few small issues when attempting to switch weapons without putting away the one you were already wielding first. It 'worked' because each different weapon type had a different location on the body where it was sheathed. If Fallout 4 has a similar setup, it may very well be possible, though I have some doubts as to whether it would be implemented, as well as having the buggy aspect of it addressed this time around. At the very least, hopefully we will have the ability to enable this setting ourselves.

One of the nice things about the Metro 2033 series was you could only carry two long arms, a pistol and a combat knife.

Which meant you have to be tactical with your choices. Especially since you were always limited in the amount of ammo you could find or buy.

I'll admit that the number of weapons that you can carry and switch between in Fallout (which never show up unless you are armed with them) doesn't help the immersion.

A mod that limited you to roughly that and actually show you carrying the weapons would be very neat.

That's the beauty of mods - each person can customize the game how they like.

Personally, I wouldn't want this in the base game - I enjoy having characters look good, and the "hobo covered in straps/packs/pouches/gear" look isn't good to me. Whether it's sci-fi, or fantasy, or whatever.
