Did Bethesda patch the glitches that allowed for multiple companions in FO3?

You can't replicate FO3 glitch sadly.

Your backup from NCR radio would stay however.

Obsidian learned from their "mistakes" though

but in some rare events its possible to get Veronica or Arcade while having an extra follower.

You can get Rex and Ed-E though using a glitch like the ones back in Fo3

Requirements:
-Finish Ed-E's quest (or if you don't then you will lose Ed-E during that quest and won't be able to have both)
-Don't initiate the dialog from the King from when he tells Rex to go to you, until you are ready anyways

1. Fire Ed-E
2. Talk to The King
3. Wait for him to finish his line (out of interactive dialog) while talking to Rex to join you
4. At the same second he's done talking go and quickly re-hire Ed-E
5. It should work as long as you time it correctly (Make sure you have a save prior to doing this in case you mess up)

I recommend against using the glitches or mods for multiple followers.
Follower quests get borked on others after the first NPC and creature followers if they are present.
For the mods, it just means more work needs doing on those.

i think ive done every follower quest except lily but thats due to she being weirdo
