Multiple wives?

Post » Wed Oct 12, 2011 10:05 pm

Can you have a wife in each city do you think? Or will the game only let you have one. It would be interesting to see you take two wives adventuring with you and have them fighting each other the whole time.

Probably not very difficult to do with mods.

Coming soon: Harem DLC!

But yeah, expect this with mods very quickly. Could be a lot of fun, marrying every hot girl in Skyrim!

I hope so, there's a lot of religions that support the idea like Mormon or Islam, I can't see Bethesda going against those, especially for a game that's going to be sold world wide.

You can fast travel back to any town, so you don't really need one in each city, unless you're trying to use this game to satiate some pervy desire.

My advice, OP: If you don't want to be committed to one woman, don't get married.

Well, because mods solve pretty much all problems.... unless of course you're getting the console version.

Who does that anyway lol?

I'm pretty sure some of you [censored] perverts will create orgy mods where you get to make out with 9 wives at the same time. And some of you sick [censored]s will use it.

No. It's okay to pour tea into five cups from one kettle, but it's nasty to pour from five kettles into one cup.

What does real life religion have to do with fantasy made up lore in a fantasy game?

:spotted owl: Wonder if there is any correlation between 'I want multiple wives', and 'I roleplay as myself' ? :shakehead:

Judge not, lest ye be judged. And no, I'm not into six in video games. The closest to actual six I like to see in a video game is the issuance of "six cards" in The Witcher, but honestly I prefer just the fade-to-black of the Bethesda-published Fallout titles.

One time I was fixing someone's computer at my old job, and he had Oblivion with a rather graphic six mod. I had to make sure the game ran smoothly on his system, and while playtesting the game I stumbled upon it. Fortunately no customers were in the tech room (aka workshop room) at the time!

Mainstream LDS do not, no. However, there are many Fundamentalist LDS (FLDS) sects who do. So it's not 100% accurate to say that Mormons, as a whole, do not practice polygamy, only that polygamy is no longer sanctioned by the official LDS leadership.

This is what I have read on the topic - added color highlight for emphasis:

6. Only possible to have relationships with certain NPCs - and "in some cases" marriage.

"...you'll be able to start relationships with certain NPCs. Howard confirms you'll be able to make friends, recruit companions and - in some cases - actually marry the game's buxom wenches. Bigamy? It'd be rude not to." http://www.gamesas.com/september-2011-psm3-magazine-t123745.html

You be the judge...

I didn't really want this to turn into a six thread, I just thought it would be interesting to see the wives interacting with each other.

And also I figured the whole multiple wives wouldn't be an issue in a semi-barbaric fantasy world, seems to me it would fit well.

I could see a quest given from this giant man who has about 10 wives and 1 of them has gone missing and he asks you to find and return her, then when you find her she says she has escaped and doesn't want to go back there. This would be a cool example of the multiple quest threads, so you could either:
A: choose to take her back regardless of what she wants
B: let her go and gain her gratitude and maybe even eventually get to marry her.
I like these sort of quests where your choices have big results.
