Ok, I was playing Oblivion, and wondered, who is the oldest vampire? So lore buffs, explain please!

I wouldn't know.

Might want to start with a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Vampires#Notable_Vampires and check if you can find anything about their age. Whom ever is the oldest on the list doesn't have to be the oldest in Mundus though.

Probably the first? :P She was a Nord r a p e d by Molag Bal, who ate babies, butchered women, then r a p e d men. That is the legend anyway.

The oldest vampire in Oblivion is probably Jakben, Earl of Imbel, as he said he knew Emer Dareloth (the first Gray Fox), which would make him at least 300 years old.

Hmm, to be more specific, the oldest LIVING vampire.

Why not one of the elders within the clans in Vvardenfell? They're probably rather old as well.

I doubt it, they fought pretty often. I think the oldest would be found in Skyrim, in the lairs under the frozen lakes. Read the vampire clan book found in the crimson scar mod. It may have made a silly home with a silly back story, but that book was a nice read (not worth money though).

No the official mod for the player home. I'd vote for it to be lore. It was a fiction, but I don't think the vampire clan variations had ever been explored so deeply. The book was about a vampire hunter who asks a priest and fellow hunter about them so she won't be ill prepared.

The vampire clan book you're talking about is http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/immortal_blood.shtml, right?
That book was in vanilla OB as well.

If I remember correctly, it was the first book I came over, as it lay in the bandit camp outside the Ayleid ruin right in front of the sewer exit.

There isn't one yet. You could say alksdalksjoiaejrek,m Bal was the first but IMO I don't think he's real.

Spoiler for Aldanaril so don't read it

Was that the book where the priest/vampire hunter is a Cyrodiil Clan vampire? The link freezes my computer and I cannot follow it.
Anyway, it made a compelling case for what the Cyrodiil vampire clan should have been, an entrenched council of puppet masters. Reading that book contrasts the Cyrodiil we read and the Cyrodiil we experience even further.

First vampire (according to legend): Lamae Beolfag, Nord woman cursed by Molag Bal.

Oldest vampire (OB): Probably Springheel Jak or Vicente Valtieri (both are about 300 years old). There are probably vampires much older in Morrowind or Skyrim, tho.
