Murder Momma Murphey

So, I passed the speech check and got her off chems. I now deeply regret this decision and want a way to kill her....her voice is so annoying. Can I make her relapse and OD?

Only possible with console commands on PC where you can set her essential off.

yep, should have let her kill herself. Why does bethesda insist on creating the most annoying characters possible. Makes me wish I helped the raiders in concord. At least you can get rid of mama, but then there is the couple from hell that need to die as well.

You can kill Mama Murphy, but there is no possible way to kill Beth and Jerry aka Marcy and Jun, just because they lost Morty doesn't mean they can complain all days everytime I walk pass them.

I'm the exact opposite. I did it just to see what would happen and now I seriously regret killing off Mama Murphy. =( It looked so perfect to have her sit there in my character's old home next to the TV, with a plant and a radio next to her.

I can't for the life of my understand why Bethesda thinks it's a good idea to have their NPCs repeat one or two lines whenever you run into them. It would be pretty easy, I guess, to just let them say their piece once and then resort to some standard greeting or nothing at all.

It's actually worst with Vault Tec, since you have to go through the whole recruiting dialogue whenever you want to barter at the store you assigned him to.

As for Mama Murphy. Keep her on chems till you build her chair. You can park that at some remote corner of the settlement and never hear from her again. Non violent solution.

I got Mama Murphy off of chems really early in my first game. I'm on my second now and I'm letting the whole 'sight' thing play out some more. I don't want to kill her though, so I'm saving before bringing her more.

How do you get her to use that chair? I have built so many chairs for her yet she never sits in any of them.

Holy crap, this is perfect!

OT: I agree that all three of these characters should be killable. Hell, I think everyone should be, but in this case, it makes literally no sense. None of them are even remotely essential to any quests or important content.

You don't build just any chair. There's one labeled Mama Murphys chair. Not under furniture, but right in the main building menu, first item on the left. If she asks for it, that is.

Oh I didn't know it was a special chair thank you for the heads up. She asks me pretty much every time I am at the workbench if she is around so now I can give her what she wants sweet.
