I've got a bit of a gut, but I make up for it with a dazzling personality, brilliant philosophy, fantastic sense of humor, innate charm, and most of all, my modesty.

If everyone likes Family Guy, and you don't like Family Guy, then you are nobody, and nobody is perfect.

The girls prefer a man who is confident, has a shining personality, respect for them, and self-respect. Not all care about a guy's body shape.

Exactly, if you're comfortable with who you are then people are going to notice. In an ideal world everybody would think like that.

Really, there are people who like everything imaginable, don't worry about it, if you're happy with how you look then that's all that matters. If you're going to change yourself, do it because you want to, not because others want you to.

I like fat guys. Cannot imagine ever being attracted to a skinny guy, ever. I don't think I've ever dated a guy who wasn't at least 'chubby'.

I suppose it's proof that there's a type for everyone...

So I'd just like some thoughts: Do girls prefer the tall, thin men with muscles, or the big soft men who are like teddy bears?

Different strokes for different folks.

Some do, some don't. Certainly Madison Avenue doesn't portray your type as "sixy" right now, but that doesn't stop "teddy bears" from getting their share when thy find the kind of women who like them.

I knew a guy who had no end to the line of women who'd go home with him. Endowed like a gerbil, but he knew how to please a woman, and that's why he never lacked for companionship.

Huh, I'd always thought that women use the word "cuddly" to mean overweight, in the same way that men say "she's got a great personality" when they mean "she's ugly".

It obviuosly depends on the girl...like my friend doesn't like body hair whilst her friend loves body hair and she finds it very manly. Generally young girls like hard abs even if you're a scrawny bassa. Older women seem to appreciate size more. But even this is a generalization.

I prefer a man with a good personality, and for me, attraction is a mental, not a physical thing.
I've dated short guys, tall guys, thin, hardbodied, bulky and squeezeable, hairy and nearly void of body hair. I also like facial hair.
I've dated blond, raven haired, brown haired, all sorts of races. Ideally, I prefer dark haired men with brown eyes.
Brown eyes are my weakness, heee. This is of course, subject to change due to personality and intelligence levels.

I admit I do like a hairy chested man, though. There's nothing quite like running my fingers through a thick patch of chest hair. Probably too much Magnum PI as a teen.

I would assume that females, like males, have individual preferences.
One thing which is a mostly correct generalization, among WOMEN: We like confident men. Quietly, politely confident.
Not arrogant or boastful. Men who don't need constant reassurance of their masculinity.

Generalizations that women only prefer power or money, or that men only want noncommittal endless six are hurful to both genders and accomplish nothing. There are women who can make it on their own, and men intrested in relationships.
And OP, stop worrying about your pot belly, no one is perfect.
I suffer from facial hirstutism, and I still get hit on.

Get rich or get powerful. Thats pretty much all women care about in one way or another. You can be the nicest guy in the world and treat them perfectly if you aint got no money or power your stuck at cuddle-friend.

If your rich and powerful and act like an A-hole you'll get whatever you want.

I wonder what percentage of the guys who are saying you have to be rich or powerful are single....hmm? Nothing to do with that at all and mainly an excuse to make guys feel better about being single.

... And how many Politicians, Donald Trumps, and Hugh Hefners they see "getting it on."

If you're rich, powerful, etc. you're gonna attract only one type of woman. And usually they tend to be shallow, mean, and/or have personal baggage that most airports won't allow on their planes. Usually, look pretty on the outside, but they're more thorn on the inside than anything else.

Certainly not my type of woman! I don't care how good you look, if you're a complete a##, you're wasting my time!

Who says big guys can't be attractive? :)

Those magazines. You know, the ones that say only artificially reconstructed cyborg-women can ever be attractive. And that being attractive is the highest thing any woman can ever strive to be. You don't suppose it could have somehow distorted our views, do you? *gasp shock scandal*

What? Are you trying to imply that the media attempts to sway our opinions, tell us what is 'right', and 'wrong', whom we should strive to be like???? Not to mention how our morals should be well below the gutter, and the more promiscuous you are, that means you are more popular/desirable/worthwhile???????

*snickers* Then why was I treated like crap in Highschool and not given a second look in College. :sadvaultboy: :P

I would say that i'm similar to the OP where I have big shoulders, semi-muscular build, and a slight tone to my body, but i'm not exactly a flabby person either. Personally I think i'm screwed when it comes to women and whoever said "There's someone out there for everyone" never met my sorry hide heh heh.

Sorry OP got me i'm in the same boat as you and would love to know some answers to this.

o.0
I dont know whats worse, that that works, or Jims advice is right ? :P Atleast it didnt envolve killing this time.

i know whats terrible komrade...it may just involve me killing the thread again...but i tried this in high school on my first day...i was in the history room and this girl was trying to get my attention, then she made that sad mistake of saying "Can't talk to a girl?" i look over at her, do a bit of a double take and really just take in the situation, she had this lazy eye, almost at a 45 degree angle.. i started laughing, she asked me why i was laughing, and i asked her "are you looking at me or the wall behind me, I can't tell!" needless to say the room got quiet...i just kept cackling like a madman.she found an attraction towards me somehow and tried to ask me out, only to chicken out herself!!!! :touched: so theres my lame story...i dunno what made her so attracted to me, the fact i regularly looked at guns on school computers all the time, or just that i was plain insane...

What's that?

Looked it up. It's apparently a condition that causes larger than normal amounts of facial hair in women.
