Museum of Witchcraft Question Decisions

So what did you decide to do with the Deathclaw egg and moreover: why?

I decided to bring it back to the Deathclaw mother. I was hoping I might get a little, baby Deathclaw. Name him Rusty, bring him with me on my adventures through the wastes... Instead I went looking for the nest again and came across an Alpha Deathclaw. Really hope that wasn't Rusty.

What were you hoping for when you returned/sold your Deathclaw egg.

I returned it, it felt fitting given that my son had been taken and I was rampaging across the wasteland looking for him.

I saved my game and then went and sold the egg, just because I wanted to see whether it would attract a rampaging deathclaw into the middle of Diamond City. But then I reloaded and returned the egg, because that's what my character would do.

I returned the egg to its mother, who looked at me rather fondly after I did so. In return, I got a deathclaw gauntlet.

I'm a Mom, so I totally get it.

Really, dude? Really?

"Yoshi" would have been more appropriate.

Considering every deathclaw I meet tries to rip my face off, I sold it for a few extra caps. Even from an rp standpoint, walking into a nest of the things to return an egg is F'n stupid. I just draw up a real world allegory, how many of us would walk into a lion's den to return a cub? yeah thought so.

Oh and I thought of it like this too, when that thing grows up it will pretty much prey on whoever is unfortunate enough to cross it's path, in effect, you are responsible for a host of future murders.

I returned it to its mother, mostly because I was looking to impress Piper and assumed (correctly) that that's what she'd want.

To be fair, once you've got power armor (or good regular armor) and a combat shotgun, deathclaws aren't any more intidimating to the SS than say a domestic cat is to a regular human. Sure, you might get a few scratches if the cat goes crazy, but I'd risk it to help a kitten.

They should have given us a third option... keep the egg and raise the baby deathclaw as a pet.

Would I do this? No. Then again, I'm not a crazed up waster who just tangled with the thing's daddy. Yeah, he left some pretty deep scars, but I came out on top, in the end. And yeah, my character would wade into a den of lions with a smile to return a baby cub... then again he also routinely jumps off buildings and slaughters Raiders for giggles.

Yoshi? Really? Fine, you don't like Rusty? How about Claws McGee? Or Monsignor Murder Pants? or OH GOD MY LEG!

Also @SerStiefel: Ahahahahaha!

Assign a settler to help care for it - one a day.

I returned the egg to its mother to get the gauntlet.

Then I killed the mother/other deathclaws and sold it for caps. Win/win.
