Music For The Next Game

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 4:20 am

This is a music suggestion thread.

For Fallout 3, it was "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" by The Ink Spots

For Fallout New Vegas, It was "Jingle Jangle Jingle" by Kay Kyser

Along with those songs, plenty of other tunes to enjoy. So what do you think the next flagship song and radio tracks should be?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

These are my Suggestions.

Flagship Song "Mack The Knife" - Bobby Darin

"Pennies From Heaven" - Frank Sinatra

"Don't Get Around Much Anymore" - Mel Torme

"A Kiss To Build A Dream On" - Louis Armstrong (The version I'm thinking of can be found by seaching "a kiss to build a dream on louis armstrong" on Youtube, The vid tmubnail will have a picture on him blowing a blue beam out of his trumpet)

"With Plenty Of Money And You" - Count Basie & Tony Bennett

i think it depends on the location
Example; L.A Undead/sell your soul or city by Hollywood Undead (they are a bit new for the time period but they could find a way to make it work.)
fallout needs a little bit more of a hardcoe tone to it.

I'm sorry, that answer is incorrect. Thank you for playing, we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

I think it should be Nikki Minaj - Stupid Hoe, as the title soundtrack.
I'd dig it. :bunny:

I think some more modern songs should be added, but no metal, rap, hip-hop, etc. should be added. What I'm thinking is some Johnny Cash.

But I doubt Bethesda would do that.

Some nice jazz music or some soul music. Like Johnny Cash. Please, please, please, no dubstep.

Also, some boss music would be nice.

Come on now, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWCStF9Likg would fit right in with all the fast paced slaughtering constantly going on.

I'm thinking Sweet home Chicago by buddy Guy for the flagship song and if they can't get that version there's about 500 other covers of the song

For radio stations gotta play jazz and the blues especially if it's in Chicago. They should throw in some Frank Sinatra and some early rock just to diversify.

It still needs to be 20's-50's music, because that's how it's almost always been in the Fallout series.

Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, and Dean Martin at the very least, in my book.

It just fits the "missing the pre-war world" thing in Fallout.

Or, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqsT4xnKZPg by Ben Selvin and the Crooners
Could be either ironic or the plot is actually about "Happy Days" returning.

Not just because that's the way it has been, but because deviation far from that wouldn't make much sense. It seems doubtful to me that people would be making a whole lot of new music, much less recording and distributing it. You might have certain small settlements/tribes with their own musical flair, but it would probably be limited to smaller locales and not heard on the radio much.

OMG yes. I'm not the biggest fan of Sinatra, but that song and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9ZGKALMMuc are awesome.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4G03SbBEJA I think that'd be perfect for Fallout 4./terrible joke

I would love to hear Don't Worry by Marty Robbins as the theme song for Fallout 4 if its set in the West again, otherwise I think American Patrol by the Glenn Miller Orchestra would be pretty cool.

For the next Fallout, I can only envision one song:

'God's Away on Business' by Tom Waits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsFyZwFcFHw

In my opinion, it would be an astounding track during the opening game cinematic. Though, I know they tend to select songs from the 50's cabinet but this is still a perfect choice in my mind.

Johnny Cash "God is Gonna Cut You Down" would be an EPIC themesong
