The Ring Cycle is an epic saga conceived by Wagner. It is based on ancient Teutonic and Scandinavian legends. The same legends that influenced the work of Tolkien. The fourth part Gotterdammerung is particularly epic.

Edit: I'm not saying the Apocalyptica version is bad, I just don't think it's a epic as the original piece... or the other version I posted. :disguise:
