Music. On or Off?

Post » Wed May 22, 2013 1:00 pm

I tried. I can see why RP'ers like it. However, I just love having the extra epicness in large battles and what not. I usually turn it off when I'm doing simple exploring and what-not. Then turn it on when I'm facing multiple enemies, bosses, unique npcs/creatures, or Dragons. And certain locations like Soul Cairn and the Forgotten Vale. The ambient music in the Forgotten Vale is just way to awe-inspiring to leave off.

agreed unless i'm playing the original Conan soundtrack or something else epic.

I can understand it feeling more real without music but it's a sin not to have it on in Sovngarde

Yes, I need a new system. Bought this one in 2004. Everything works great but ambient sound is a lot lower than combat sounds. So if I turn it up to the point I can hear the waterfalls, the combat just becomes ridiculously loud. I did turn down the music in game to 25% because, the impression I get is that default is set to drown out everything else. Also, agree with you on the dragons landing. The rumble of the bass makes it feel like an earthquake (hyperbole). It's what I love about the sound in ME3. Just amazing when you do a biotic combo.

Music on for me. I like the exploration music, but the battle music is kind of irritating.

headphones can't shake the windows but quality headphones are better then speakers for gaming, namely PC gaming as there's something set up in the sound that makes it better to use headphones...same goes for music production on PC. I'll try to find some more info..

check this out, namely the section titled 2 ears 8 speakers

Sometimes On, sometimes Off. Depends on the mood I'm in.
