[Suggestion] Music Sheets For Instrument Emotes

Post » Sat Mar 01, 2014 8:02 am

Searching the internet for Elder Scrolls Online footage, i have come across videos displaying the emotes. Now what i have seen is that there are emotes that allow the player to play an instrument e.g. flute, drum. (/flute /lute /drum)

Now wouldn't it be a nice addition if Elder Scrolls Online had Music Sheets scattered all over the land, enabling players to; collect, sell, trade, steal and use them for the sake of diversity and fun?

The Music Sheets could be categorised based on their rarity. Imagine being one of the few who is able to play a particular song iconic to Elder Scrolls. You could become a travelling bard and make coin playing your favourite instrument. Great roleplay material, and even greater for uniqueness and atmosphere.

Please share your thoughts and additional suggestions. I am certain this crossed the minds of many roleplayers already. Now if only the developers would read this.

Perhaps Music Sheets isn't the right name for this item, and you know of a more suitable description. Please share below.

Something like the Lotro tunes system that you could play with the instruments would just be the best thing if we are talking about music. The music sheets that you mean definitelly sound interesting tho. But if you played LOTRO and went into the tune system with the instruments, its just hours over hours of fun, its addictive as hell. If something like that would be implemented here it would be a great plus for tons of people, mostly the RPers tho.

Hm, i have never played that game (Lord of the Rings) and after looking into it, i have to say it does look like fun. Im a fan of features that give the illusion of a "game within a game". Then the game world itself becomes more realistic. Think of Shenmue on Dreamcast, and the arcade in it.

Problem with the system is that players are able to create their own tracks, which means you'll hear the Mission Impossible theme, or Mortal Kombat (as i have seen in a video just now) Now its fun, but a no-go for a RP server.

Yeah some of them are like that, but trust me there are A LOT of songs that fit the lore of the game. Its just a matter of picking the ones that you want.

Not many comments i see. Guess the idea isn't as popular as i thought it would be. Perhaps this thread is too trivial compared to the Collectors Edition rants, and other topics that are repeated till it bleeds.
