Original music.

Music by the pople of the wasteland, for the people of the wasteland.

Bluesy types of music to reflect the hardships and struggles
A folksy/story song type of music to tell stories of batlles and heroes
A counter culture style of music for those that frequent jet houses
Agressive music perferred by raiders and other "gang" style factions

A swing/Big Band rendition of Genesis' Land of Confusion.

The lyrics work real well for the series. The music? Not so much.

More classical/instrumental for sure. Some extremely early rock (yes it did exist around that time), more jazzy songs for sure, I loved the FO:3 soundtrack.

Nat King Cole. Lots of Nat King Cole.

Louis Armstrong. I love his voice, and it gives me a lot of nostalgia for Fallout 2.

"The World We Knew" by Sinatra would be a perfect theme song for a next Fallout.

I'd love to see underground Raider radio stations or gang stations that play rock, rap, anything like that. Hearing about Johnny and his [censored] guitar I'd be happy to hear something that just sounds plain awesome.

bobby darin, dean martin, nat king cole, or the inkspots. Also, if you're going to have an underground raider station for rap, it needs to be the really grimy kind like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl6jwab3HWk it's edited, so don't worry.

 I don't think that would fit with Fallout at all.

I want more Louis Armstrong myself. He's a fantastic musician and his voice is so great to the point it's haunting.

The world can always use more Dean Martin as well, Ain't That A Kick In the Head was a perfect touch.

Oh im dead serious  Well, the part with the rock and rap was serious but the part where not every fallout player born in 1950s was a joke.

Rock, the early incarnations would be fine. Such as songs by Elvis, Fats Domino, maybe some Little Richard. Rap isn't Fallout in the least.

What matters is what the player listens to, not the NPC's. Plus, if they listen to music and that's the one of the songs playing, they'll have to listen to it.

You don't need to listen to the music ingame... you could listen to what ever you want.... Adding rock and crap would add nothing, and would take away from the fallout feel... I highly doubt raiders would devote time to producing music, and developing a radio station.
