  • LadyGaga, Bad Romance (the one song of hers that I actually like)
  • Classic rock hits from the 60's
  • New wave hits from the 80's
  • Various rockin' combat music from other games or fast paced Classical

...but most of the time, it's the sounds of silence.

Beck and Norah Jones are great for atmosphere. There are some great songs on Beck's albums Guero and Odelay that fit well with New Vegas. And anything by Norah Jones just feels at home here for some reason... Leo Kottke is absolutely perfect walking music for the dusty New Vegas highways. I threw in some acoustic Led Zeppelin and some Hank Williams for good measure. Those are all on a short playlist I threw together from what I had already on my Xbox. I have yet to find some good ass-kicking music that fits the game's atmosphere... Any suggestions?

Tool FTW!
@Salamandra-Where its at by Beck is a great fallout song, and for kicking ass I recommend Bodies by Drowning Pool.

After thinking up some 'sad songs' for another thread, I just realized that I'm going to have to try listening to Kate Bush's "Under Ice" while playing NV. I have a feeling I'd find that very slow-atmospheric in, say, Vault 34 or something....such a creeps-up-on-you creepy song...

Last night I played with a list full of Slayer.

I didn't know I was the trigger-happy type, to be honest.

Well, I'm to lazy to listen to IRL music and the game, but if I were to extend my playlist, I'd add some more Billie Holiday, The Inkspots, and The Andrews Sisters. :disguise:

I use this mod http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37029

Although it allows you to load up 80 songs, I recommend against it as it adds a lot of overhead to the game and can cause stuttering.

I'm honestly surprised that so many people listen to music from an outside source. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but yeah. I don't even listen to the in-game radio, really, I find the atmospheric music to be really great.
